CILAN'S POV

I heard the soft yet confident beats of Sloane's drums, signaling the start of our first song.

Si Xavier ang kasama ko for this song number. Siya ang pinaka-paborito kong ka-duet sa mga kabanda ko for the sole reason na sa kanya lang ako hindi naaasiwa. And it pays that he really has that soothing voice.

'You and I, cannot hide, the love we feel inside, the words we need to say...'

Yup, 'Heaven by Your Side' ng A1 ang unang kanta namin. Xavier did the intro, now it's my turn.

'I feel like I have always walked alone... But now that you're here for me, there'll always be, a place that I can go...' pagpapatuloy ko sa kanta, trying to rise above the fan's enthusiastic cheers.

The performance was light and very much enjoyable. Xavier and I had some interactions as we performed. May napasigaw pa nga ng 'Oy, may chemistry sila!' na tinawanan lang naming dalawa.

The random comment did not sit well with the female audience though, and when I glanced at Winter, Sloane, and Kristoff, they looked like they're also not pleased.

'But when we touch, I realize, that I found my place in Heaven by your side...'

The crowd rained applauses when we beautifully ended the first number. Up next is our second song.

"Abyssville, are you ready for our second rendition for the night?"

The crowd responded with oozing enthusiasm. I sighed. Buti pa sila, kasi ako, kinakabahan nang sobra.

Bakit ba ako kinakabahan? Am I just too excited, too anxious to commit a mistake, or is it something else?

SLOANE'S POV

I whispered a 'Yes!' when Cilan's song with Xavier ended. Ngayon, pagkakataon ko na para ma-'solo' si Cilan.

Napangiti ako. I'll make sure to deliver every lyric of this song straight to his heart.

"I will be doing the second voice of the song. Hope you love it guys," imporma ko sa mga manonood.

A good portion of the crowd responded with squeals and cheers; some even shouted my name aloud.

'She's been beaten down, trampled on... She swore to herself that she'd never, ever love again...'       

The song that I chose for our part (I rejected Winter's proposal hehehe) was 'Take a Chance' by Luigi D'Avola. It's about a guy who loves a girl, someone who was devastated by a failed love before. It's the perfect song for Cilan and I.
