NARRATOR'S POV

Simula na ng set 2. This time, it's Celesticville's turn to serve first. Prof. Archer opted to place Winter as the first server. Maliban sa malakas ang serve ng Setter niya, it will also give him a full frontline.

Sumenyas si Winter sa mga attackers niya: sina Sloane, Jacob, at Kristoff. Tumango naman ang mga ito.

Winter launched a steady float towards the front Open of Boreausville. Maayos nitong nasalo ang bola at naihatid ang bola papunta sa Setter nila. Serena opted for a combination play with the MB and the Open at the right side of their court before Solace hammered a killer spike. It went past the double block of Sloane and Jacob pero milagro itong nailigtas ni Timothy with a dive. Winter chased the ball and desperately tried to set a decent out-of-system play for Sloane. The Open Spiker went for a down-the-line hit, clinching Zone 1.

"A beautiful down-the-line hit from Sloane! Celesticville takes the first point of the 2nd set."

Napasigaw ng kanilang battle cry ang Team Celesticville, happy that they got the set's first point.

Both squads tried to engage in a battle of attrition for each point, but at this juncture Boreausville's lack of competitive game experience surfaced, habang unti-unti nang lumilitaw ang kinalawang na volleyball skills nina Sloane, Kristoff, and Xavier who went for basketball at High School, and Cilan who focused on chess.

The first technical timeout ended with Celesticville on top, 8-3. Through the hits of Sloane, blocks from Jacob, Xavier, and Kristoff, and Winter's orchestration backed by the floor defense of Timmy and Cilan, the difference ballooned even more to 16-6 by the second technical timeout. Everything promised to go smoothly, but just as Celesticville grabbed 4 straight points to touch the 20th mark, Boreausville countered with a 4-point run of their own, built on a hit from Hirozaki, a receiving error from Cilan, and attack errors from Sloane and Kristoff.

Frustrated with the developments, Prof. Archer called for a ceasefire to talk to his boys.

"Kristoff, try to focus on the crosscourt while Sloane and Cilan, go for the down-the-line hits while the Setter is at the back. Mahina ang digging ni Serena at madi-disrupt natin ang plays nila kung siya ang magfi-first ball. Cilan, always face the ball squarely when receiving. Steady ang receives mo but you have the tendency to be out of position dahil mali ang tapat mo. Kailangan ka ni Timothy, 'di niya kakayanin mag-isa ang pagbabantay sa court natin. Kristoff, itinatapat kita kay Solace to check him. Always seal his DTL."

Tumango silang pito bago magbalik sa court when the timeout ended. Equipped with tips and an earful from the meticulous tactician, the Celesticville spikers rallied with a 5-1 blitz to grab set 2 at 25-11. They got two hard hits from Kristoff, a backrow attack from Sloane, a rare powerful DTL winner from Cilan, and the set-ending block of Xavier. Boreausville only got a hit from Hirozaki to counter.

A short break took over, then a whistle signaled the start of the third set. The Celesticville team players are now oozing with confidence, while Boreausville is somehow shaken with the 2-set deficit.
