Primtalia: School of Sorcery Chapter Seventeen Bickering Rivials
When morning came, I headed down to Professor Wellix's classroom for his potions club meeting. Lovino walked in not long after me and sat down beside me in the back of the class. After a few more minutes, the class held ten students including myself, some of who I had never seen before, but in all fairness, I was mainly looking at the back of most of their heads since I sat in the back.
"Good-morning everyone!" Shouted Wellix as he danced inside, his head bobbing as he hummed a song. "I was talking to the school nurse just yesterday about tonics, actually and she told me that there's been a lack of burn relief potions ever since Mr. Edins taught the first years that flame spell. So, let's brew some of that today. Just know it might be a little advanced, but it's pay-out is brilliant!"
He set his briefcase down on the counter in front of the class and waved his wand at it, causing it to open and multiple ingredients flew out of it and jumped onto the countertop beside an iron cauldron.
"So, take note of what I've got up here and make sure to gather everything you'll need, you know my pace already so let's keep up! I want these potions perfect and ready to hand over in two weeks, c'mon then, get moving!" He ordered.
Lovino stood to go get the ingredients for our table and I waited, readying my notebook to take notes for the two of us. The clatter of students all reaching over each other and walking back and forth from the front counter to the shelves was amusing to watch in its own way. It felt like a definite change of pace from my previous few weeks since school had begun for sure.
Not even five minutes later, we were all set and as Wellix dropped in ingredients, I noted along and Lovino made the measurements, I occasionally joining in as well.
"The most important ingredient of this potion – watch closely – is the sovando plant. While it alone can serve as a remedy for most any nongifted burn, it's still not as powerful as when it's applied to this potion! One leaf off its stem is all you'll need so I'll allow you to pass this one around." He said as he waved his wand at the plant, causing it to float to the front table.
He got off topic for a while as we passed the plant around and as the girl in front of me grabbed her leaf, she turned to hand it off to Lovino and I. As I reached for it, my eyes glanced up to meet her bright green eyes.
She gave a warm smile before turning back around, her red hair braided fell down her back. That same red hair I had seen once before.
"Stop getting distracted by people and pass me that already," Lovino mumbled, taking the plant from me and dropping in a leaf before passing it to the table beside us.
I couldn't help but stare a while longer, thinking that perhaps I was confused, but she looked just like her – just like he first girl from the restroom before.
