Nandini's POV

I saw the chair turning and with that his face was was revealed to me and I wouldn't lie my breath hitched in my throat. He's face got me hooked on it for a while more than decent.

His features were so pleasing that i couldn't stop myself from admiring him but his eyes had my sole attention, the soft brown orbs were almost too intimidating to stare into for more then a few minutes like looking at the sun, like it could perish your existence if it wanted too amd you would mourn nothing....that sort of power, that sort of enigma is all I could think of when my gaze held his.

My thoughts came to halt as I heard him clearing his throat

"Done drooling over me!? If that's what you are here for then I am sure you can help yourself to the way out , my time is too precious to be wasted on petty girls like you"

His sharp taunt hurt the surface of my self esteem.

HOW DARE HE!!!?

"My apologise to be zoned out for a while sir but I know what I am here for and I am fairly clear about it. I would request you to judge me on my capabilities and everything that I can contribute to Infinity"

Although I so wished to punch his pretty face for saying what he did but I soon realized giving an interview he will remember will be a much solid answer.

Everything that I was thinking a while ago the good that I tried to find in him in anyway all went in drain, like what was i even thinking eyes, intensity..blah..blah Godddd!!! this Sherlock thing is getting on my nerves now .

*There need not be a mystery in everything Nandini and u better not get yourself in all these stupid assumptions of yours and land youself in trouble. Forget all of these things and concentrate on what u are here for * *Nandini's mind poked her *

Writers pov:

For manik he was a bit taken a back by her answer as it was the first time except for cabir someone was courageous enough to look into his eyes and speak to him or to be very precise back answer him which of course didn't feed his ego well. It would have been some other time he would have got back on her but as they were in urgent need of a senior architect he couldn't do so, after all it was the matter of infinity the only thing that mattered to him.

Coming out of his thoughts he was back into his arrogant self.

"Miss the first and the foremost thing noone I mean noone talks to me in that tone. I think you don't know me enough so let me tell u this tone of yours won't be appreciated and talking about your capabilities that we'll see in a while"

Manik said rather threw a challenge at her.

" I too hold my self respect high, sir and like you I don't appreciate being boxed only bassed on assumptions. I don't mean to be rude but I am guessing as a man who upholds his honour you will see what I mean"

Bewildered would be an understatement for Manik, none has dared to retaliate him in the way this 'petty girl' did which as much as annoyed every nerve of him but he was very..very impressed for a change seeing her not letting him walk all over her.

While for Nandini, she stood almost ready on her heels to leave the room knowing she might have caused a dent in this Man's pride and now ain't no way he is entertaining her not that she would hold any regrets of her action, Infinity would have been a dream come true but it wasn't worth swallowing her self respect for. That being one of the things she remembered vividly being taught by her Amma...but what came next shocked her.

" Have a seat miss....??" Manik said in a questioning voice with the all time sexy smirk on his face

" Murthy"

" Yeah Miss Murthy "

With that Manik started asking her some common questions first being to introduce herself followed by some questions related to the field to which she answered perfectly and effortlessly.

" So Miss Murthy why do you want to work for us?? "

" Mir the fact that Infinity is the beat Architectural firms of our country is not hidden and getting a job here is a bid deal. Also it will give me a better exposure to the field which I may not get elsewhere."

" But why should we hire you, you are a fresher and the post of senior Architect demands experience"

Manik asked her with the small smirk still intact on his face

"I feel I should be hired given my excellent academic background and I think I Posses the skills company is looking for. I have an attitude to excel so if given a chance I will surely work towards building my expertise which will be beneficial for me as well as the firm" Nandini said with confidence dripping from her tone.

Manik was satisfied with her answer and he kind of liked her confidence though his ego and stubbornness will not let him accept that,with the way she talked about the field it did prove her sincerity and dedication towards her work, with his personal and professional life experiences he could predict atleast this much about a person.

" Looking at your academic background and ur confidence that u will be able to deal with it I am ready to give u chance hope u won't disappoint me. Congratulations u are hired " Manik said in a professional tone.

" Check with Miss.Sheryl for the rest of the details" he continued

" Thank you for the opportunity sir and I will make sure u don't regret your decision" Nandini said with a professional tone but it didn't fail to hide her excitement and happiness

" You may leave " Manik said getting his stern tone back.

Nandini felt a bit bad with his tone but she chucked it as this would be the last thing she'll want to be upset about when she's way too happy. With that nandini left giving him a slight nod

As she came out of his cabin she wanted to jump in happiness but alas couldn't do so it took all of her to stop her from doing so and such excitement was obvious as after all it was infinity she's gonna work for

Only if she knew what havoc this job is gonna bring into her life.
