Writer's pov:

It's been a month now since Nandini moved to Manik's cabin and there hasn't been a day when the two didn't bicker. Nandini though was trying to be nice to him but he would always come up with something that would piss her off and then the rest is history......
For Manik he was now used to her being in the cabin and around him though they used to argue and irritate the shit out of each other every day but the next day Nandini used to greet him with the same energy and a smile that was always intact on her face, he never really responded back but that didn't stop her from greeting him and that did amaze him. One more thing that changed in the entire month was Manik's cabin.
The cabin which once used to be lifeless with no Color other than black all around. As much as it is hard to deny that black signifies elegance but the darkness that it brought along itself could also not be denied and that was something Nandini never liked.

So from the very next day of her moving in his cabin she placed fresh colorful flower of subtle colors to some corners and places she found perfect for them. It was as if she was adding life to that lifeless cabin.

That day when Manik entered he was utterly shocked seeing the view when questioned he got the answer as now it was her cabin too, she was allowed to do at least this much. He tried every possible way to remove them off his cabin but all his plans went in vain as next day again she used to get fresh flowers, so after a few days he eventually gave up. This entire month did cause a lot of bickering between them but it also in a way made them comfortable around each others presence.

Manik's pov:

I have been frequently glancing at the desk before me I am trying to stay calm but that sight is just not helping. It's been 8 freak'n 30 yet there is no sign of Ms.Murthy showing up. Now this is the limit! I have tolerated enough, it's not some haunt that she can show up and leave anytime she wants. This is my office and there are some rules here that needs to be followed. If this job is not important to her she can walk out but she has no right whatsoever of disrespecting it.

I was busy preparing a lecture to give for her in my mind when I heard the door knob click open which broke my trance. Only to find our very own Princess Diana (note the sarcasm) entering, I thought the first thing she'll or wait, she should do is apologize but guess what she straight out ignored my presence and started walking towards her desk. Now this wasn't something I had expected. My anger was on another level after seeing her behaving so casually.

"Ms.murthy! I guess you have justifications to give" I called out for her and that made her stop on her tracks. She turned her face so as to face me with her head bent down a bit...

" I guess you are not really interested in working here, are you?? No cuz it doesn't seem like. This is not your fucking house, this is my office and I have some rules here. And if u can't abide by the rules then you are free to walk out" I said with my tone higher than usual. I kinda expected her to come up with some sarcastic remark or justification like she always does but...

"I..am sorry sir, this won't happen again."

What did I hear again? She did not just say that!

No sarcasm? No eye rolls? Not even a stern glance!?

Woah! There is definitely something wrong.

That's when I actually noticed. She wasn't her usual self today, she didn't got flowers with her like she always did, she didn't greet me with a wide smile on her face. She just walked away to her desk. I was drowned in my anger to notice any of it before but when I did, I found it a bit unusal. She seemed upset, her face that always  appeared to be fresh as Lilly was sullen today..
