28: Breaking the inhibitions!

Writer's pov:

Manik and Nandini were walking beside each other absorbing the peace that the onshore breeze brought along, as the beach was fairly isolated the mellow of the waves kissing the sand and again getting lost in the wide ocean with a hope to meet again was quite too evident for both of them. Adding to the beauty of the ocean was the bright ball finding it's way back home radiating a beautiful mix of colours that painted the sky just enough to be called mesmerizing had the two people hypnotized by it's charm....

Suddenly Nandini stopped walking and after a few steps on not feeling anybody's presence beside him Manik daze was also broken and he turned around to find her bending down, with a confused eyes he kept looking at her waiting for her next step only to see her removing her footwear making him frown.

She held her footwear in her hand and started walking when she saw him frowning at her, she raised her eyebrows at him and shrugged walking further with a smile that found it's way back to her lips....

Walking a little further they sat beside each other maintaining a decent distance...

"Beautiful isn't it?" Nandini asked rhetorically, with her eyes refusing to leave the sight of the setting sun..

"Very!"

his gaze intact at the ocean too...

" Can I ask you something"

she said this time looking at him, he glanced at her as a gesture to continue..

" Why are we here?? I mean not that I mind, this place its..it's beautiful and I would surely regret missing this sight, but why out of all the beaches, here?"

she definitely was curious to know the reason, that why out of all the renowned beaches he preferred this!

" stop me if I am getting a little too personal, but is there any special reason to be here or any special memory, in a wrap how fo you know about this place!?"

she asked meekly unsure of his reaction also trying to control her curiosity which she realized she was loosing control on.

Her queries stirred the forbidden in him, his face hardened his eyes turned stern and his relaxed posture to a stiff one ,his eyes went back to starring at the ocean again. She somewhere got a hint that she might have went too far, he sure had some connections with this place, some memories he didn't want to talk about..

When she didn't hear anything from him for a while she started regretting her doings, she was scared that cuz of her one stupid mistake all her progress will go back to zero and they'll be back to square one, she already was thinking about ways to apologize and make it up to him, it's like her mind was a war zone with her thoughts battling among themselves about whether she should or not what she did was right, but the little war didn't seem to last long as she heard his voice..

" Isolation"

he said turning his attention towards her..

" This beach is fairly away from the major tourist spots making it isolated from most of the beaches...the soft sounds of the waves here is soo clearly audible that it seems to reach your soul and calm the hurricane inside..the little peace is what I experience here, and above everything it has some bittersweet memories from my past jo main chah kar bhi nhi bhula sakta"

he said his voice low yet loud enough to fight all the other noise around to reach it's destination.. For Nandini she was extremely shocked seeing him opening up to her, she genuinely didn't see this coming..somewhere down in her heart she was having her own little victory dance with the thought that she managed to get the crack a little more wider, she was happy he was breaking his inhibitions.
