42: Little things!!

Nandini's pov:

                 Laughing off at my annoyed face rishab went and sat beside manik they both shared a little conversation, which probably would be an introduction, i diverted my attention from them to chacha, chachi as they were bickering about something...i smiled at chachi's taunt's that chacha dodged like a pro..

" Aacha!!! I am really hungry can we get started with the breakfast already!!" i said that caused them to stop their bickering as chachi agreed and took a seat we all served ourselves with chachi being extra attentive towards manik making sure his plate is filled properly with food and he's not feeling left out as sweet as it was of her to do so, i noticed manik's exression, he was zoned out..

The earlier relaxed posture of his turned stiff..chachi kept on talking to him and all he did was nod at her with his lips curved in something which was trying hard to come off as a smile, i frowned at this sudden change, it was  like minute back when he seemed all happy and teasing me and now suddenly these frowns...i was a little too busy noticing his change that came off a bit too evident as chacha nudged, distracting me..

i smiled at him and nodded in a nothing and he smiled back..i could still see how hard he was trying to keep up with the fake smile..i sat there still looking at him but this time making sure to not make it obvious, i tried catching his eye in someway and after a few futile attempts i even managed too..i raised my eyebrows at him in a 'what is up? look to which he shrugged in a nothing...

i let it go, not finding this an appropriate opportunity to drag things further..

We had a nice breakfast, sharing small laughs in between over chachi pulling chacha's leg and vice versa..after breakfast chacha chachi excused themselves and retired to their room as they had something to look on and rishu excused himself as he had a call to attend, leaving both of us alone in the drawing room...grabbing the opportunity i thought to have a talk with him about the breakfast table thing so i moved a little towards him as he stood right beside the couch on the left..

" what's up!?" i asked that made him look up to me averting his gaze which was formerly on his cellphone's screen..

" yeah..nothing i am fine..i am good " he said

" you don't look..good!" i said still staring at him or precisely right at his face as they went through a series of changing expressions standing parallel to him..

" nahi..voh..voh.." he Shutterd

" it's okay manik, you can share we might not such good friends but.." i said and he interrupted..

" aaisa aaisa..kuch nhi hai nandini..voh rishab!" he said and i frowned, i was actually not expecting this confused i stood there waiting for him to continue..

" ha voh rishab just told me..ki you told him..i mean...he knows about..what i..did to you..before we became friends..i was just wondering ki voh kya soch raha hoga mere baare main..toh.!" he said and with a settling frown i had a small smile on..

"woah..that's the first!" i said glee and astonishment clearly visible in my iris..

" what first?" he asked confused..

" first time manik malhotra cares about what someone thinks off him...that's rare!! Rishu is impressing me! Interesting..but if that's what you are stressing about then you need to chill! Rishab..he's a very mature guy and trust me it's his first time too..as far as i know my brother does not get along with a lot of people that often but he did, with you! That just says that he had no hard feelings for you!" i said, quietly surprised at his reason for those frowns..
