9:Friends??

Nandini's pov

         After Cabir sir left the cabin the air inside the cabin got kind of awkward, with me and Mr.Malhotra glancing at each other and no clue what to say next. Minutes passed still no progress now this was getting on my nerves..so I decided to break the silence and said clearing my throat.

"umm... Sir..I guess then we should start working on the project as we are nearing the deadline,so shall i get the files and everything??" I came up with whatever i could at that time to get rid of that awkward silence and I think I did fine.

"hmmamm..yeah Ms.murthy get ur related files and stuff we'll start working on it. Anyways I don't like my time being waste" his voice getting back in his usual monstrous tone...will this man ever like ever speak without that annoying tone I doubt he even knew how to speak without using that tone.

Anyways I kept my thoughts to myself and just gave him a quick nod and left for my cabin.

It's been a while we are working on the project and I must say it ain't that bad working with mr monster as his ideas and knowledge regarding this field is worth listening to.

We were so into our work that we lost the track of time and maybe it was the first time we were talking to each other without a hint of sarcasm, working with him is a fine experience so far and by working I only mean working otherwise its heck of a task to even stand beside him doing nothing because, boyy!!!! He can yell at you for any goddam thing!

When we realized the time, it was already time for lunch break so leaving the rest of the work for later, taking his permission I left the cabin to fill my tummy as I was damm hungry.

I went to cafeteria and started searching for a place where I can have my food as its just been a day of me joining and I have zero friends here, also that way i am a bit hesitate to go and join people feel I might come of to be annoying.

Anyways after eye-searching for a while I found myself a place and made myself comfortable there...I  got my luch box out, as Chachi won't let me get out without it, even after me saying continuously that I'll manage..so caring she is!

I could go on with my thoughts but My growling stomach was an indication that it needs to be fed asap and i was more than ready to do so.
I opened my lunch box and was about to take a bit of my tortilla when a manly voice from behind made me halt my actions.

"Waah!ghar ka khanna kya baat hai...yaha zyada log nhi hai jo ghar ka khanna laate hai kisi ke ghar pe koi banane vala nhi hai aur jiske ghar pe hai usko uski kadar nhi" hearing him

I turned to look at the face behind the voice. The guy was slightly taller than average not as tall as Mr.malhotra though *Nandini concentrate* subconscious again!

Excuse her and me anyways where was I yess the guy, so as I said he was tall with thick eyebrows and not forgetting a charming smile, he appeared to be sweet.

Seeing him smiling at me I couldn't help but return a small smile. I saw him approaching me, he was not far maybe a step or two he reached me quickly with his smile intact.

"Hey Aryaman, Aryaman Khurana, never saw u before here..umm new???" he said in a very sweet tone forwarding his hand for a handshake.

"Hii Nandini Murthy, yes I joined just yesterday nice to meet you" I said taking his hands for a handshake with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too....umm if it's not too much would u mind if I join you??"

" no no of course not, come have a seat"

"ohh great thanks!" with that he took a seat in front of me.

" I hope u don't mind me asking, I get why I was sitting here alone but why are u hear with me, your friends??" I couldn't help but ask him this as why would he leave all his friends and give me company.

"Firstly u can ask me anything I usually don't feel bad or hurt quickly and secondly my friends are quite busy today so even I was searching for a company and see I found a beautiful one"

he said winking at last. What's with all the guys flirting here, like does it has to be extreme always, either the person has to be flirty or he has to be a monster why is there no sane person here aLAiyappa!!!

I rolled my eyes at him and heard him chuckling even I chuckled a bit. And we started talking, in between I got to know that he is working in the interior department and was in infinity for more than 2yrs now even though he was a bit flirty we gelled well, he was a great company.

We finished our lunch in between our talks and started walking out of the cafeteria.

"hahah...Aryaman u are too funny" I said laughing at one of his random jokes.

"It's my pleasure to make a beautiful lady like u laugh" he said bowing a bit.

"Stop it already " I said rolling my eyes at him.

"haha..okay as u say, I guess now we need to part our ways as both of us have to go to different directions so...."

"sooooo??" I said dragging his 'so' dramatically

"so umm..friends??" he asked with his one hand on his nape slightly crassing it and the other forward for a handshake with a hopeful look in his eyes.

"Friends" I said giving in with a small smile. With that after bidding adieu to each other we left to our desired way.

As I was walking back to the elevator my eyes fell on my wrist watch and what I saw made me gulp..Iwas 15 minutes late. Its been 15 minutes past the lunch time.

Aiyapppaaa whyyyy meee whyyy??!!!!! this monster is not going to leave me now. If he can scold me for being 5 min late what will he do noww...aiyappa!! I m dead plzz save your favorite child*cry baby face*. I said trying to please aiyappa as only he can save me form the monster's wrath.
