CHAPTER 8

CHAPTER 8 - JUST FOR A WHILE

Nakatingin ako sa kamay nilang dalawa. For a moment, parang gusto kong putulin iyon. How dare she touch him?! Okay, alam kong wala akong karapatan but I like this guy already. Kahit magkasintahan man sila, I don't care.

What's wrong with liking a guy even though she has a girl already?

Alam kong sobrang bilis naman yata na magkagusto agad ako sa isang lalaki kahit na kahapon lang kami nagkakilala. But the fact that he saved me is the thing that I like him.

I shifted my gaze to them. Baka mapaghalataan akong interesado ako kamay nila kapag tinagalan ko pa ang pagtitig.

I'm going to take it slow to like and know him more. I'm not in a rush.

" Hello. Anong ginagawa nyo dito?" tanong ko sa kanila.

" Were looking at the succulents. They are so cute!" sabi ng babae.

" They're my precious." nakangiting sabi ko sa kanya. " By the way, I'm Jiane. And who are you?"

" I'm Mica. Zenon's girlfriend. Nice meeting you." she initiated a handshake and I gladly accepted.

His girl, indeed.

" You don't need to say that. Halata nya naman na girlfriend kita." sabi ni Zenon. Tama ka, sa pagpulupot nya palang sa kamay mo halatang possesive sya sayo.

Pero gosh, nakahiya parin ang ginawa ko kanina. What if kung nakita kami ni Mica sa posisyon na hinahawakan ko ang mukha ni Zenon? Eh di mas masaya.

" Of course I need to! That's an etiquette if you've having a relationship."

" Since when did we have that kind of etiquette? I've never heard of it."

" I just made it." she shyly said.

Then I saw him smiled at her. A smile that's different from the one he gave me. A smile that screams he's inlove with her. I'm so friggin jealous with that smile.

Second strike.

I can't beat her.

Hindi man lang sila nagdalawang isip na maglandian sa harap ko. They are too showy of their relationship. 

" Nakalimutan nyo yatang nandito ako?"

" Oh. Sorry." sabi ni Zenon. " Bakit ka pala nandito sa conservatory?"

" I'm looking for you. I just wanted to say thank you sa pagligtas sakin kahapon."

He chuckled. " Sorry for exagerrating sa sinabi kong ako ang iyong knight with no shining armor pero hindi ako ang nagligtas sayo. Si Vlad yun, he even applied CPR to you bago nya tinawag ang iba. Ginising lang kita."

Wait.

Mali yata pagkadinig ko?

Si Vlad? Niligtas ako?!

" Si Vlad? As in Vlademir Tendan? Yung genius jerk at pinaglihi sa sama ng loob?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko sa kanya. I really can't believe it. 

Yung taong nilunod ako ay sya ang nagligtas? And he applied CPR! That's equivalent to a kiss!!

" Yes. If you're referring to the genius jerk at pinaglihi sa sama ng loob Vlademir Tendan. He's walking towards here. Hi, bro!"

" Vlad!" sigaw ni Mica.

Nakatulala parin ako bago humarap sa kinaroroonan ni Vlad.

" You chose a nice place to hang out." sabi nya ng makarating sa amin.

" Jiane got nice treasures here. And my girlfriend seems to like it."

" Good for you then." he darted his gaze on me." Kukunin ko ulit si Jiane, hindi pa kasi tapos ang session namin."

" I'm really curious what kind of session is that. Is it intimate?" tanong ni Mica while pointing at her chin. She really is so cute in acting that way. Zenon gave her a mischevious smile.

" Are you thinking something naughty Mica?"

" Of course not! I'm not like you Zenon." mahinampas nya pa ito sa balikat. 

They didn't even have a nickname for each other. They have such formal relationship. Hindi sila tulad ng iba na masyadong corny ang tawagan.

" But I would love it if you have one." nakangising sabi ni Zenon.

" You're such a tease. I might fall in love with you again."

" I would love it if you will."

Halos hindi ko makayanan ang kasweetan nila. Vlad cleared his throat so they gave him an apologetic smile.

" I think we should go. See you at dinner." kinuha nya ang kamay ko at hinila ito. This time, he's pulling me gently. At hindi ko rin alam kung bakit ako nagpapahila na lang sa kanya kahit na hinahawakan nya ang kamay ko. I hate the way he touches me but I can't seem to have the guts of letting go.

I know I wasn't in my right mind but I think I need it right now. And so I hope he won't let go. 

Please just hold my hand. 

Even just for a while.
