~Flashback Continued~
"Well, well, well, look who finally decided to show up," Kelsey teases with a knowing smirk, her hands folded across her chest, as I close the door behind me. "I hope that whoever the lucky bastard was, he was worth scaring the living shit out of me."
"Morning to you too, best friend."
"Oh, don't you 'best friend' me, Lola Dino," Kelsey immediately calls me out as she drops her hands to the side, and then points at me with a playful stern look plastered on her face. "You only spend the night if the guy truly deserved it and may I remind you that you not only did that last night, but you're coming back in the after-fucking-noon. You even brought his shirt with you," she motions at Ace's t-shirt. "So, who was he? Spill!"
Oh, if you only knew...
"Can I at least come to my senses first?" I ask, deciding to torture her some more. "Like, I could really use a nice, cold shower right now."
Kelsey, as expected, gasps.
"You still haven't come to your senses? He was that good?!"
"One of the best," I admit.
Shit, I wasn't going to lie about that part, that's for sure.
"Okay, that's enough beating around the bush now. You've got to tell me!" Kelsey beams as she drags me over to sit down on her bed with her. "At least tell me if I know him."
"Oh, you know him, alright," I tell her and when I see that the state of her curiosity reaches a level that even I can't bare to handle for her, I decide to end her torture by adding, "I'd say you know his best friend pretty well, too."
That little hint obviously does the trick, as Kelsey eyes widen and her mouth drops in recognition.
"No fucking way!" She announces eagerly, her previously confused expression instantly turning into one of satisfaction and approval. "You and Rivers did the deed!"
With a mischievous smirk slightly raised at the corner of my mouth, I slowly shake my head to signal a 'no.'
"More than just the deed?!" Kelsey gasps even louder this time and when I give her a lazy shrug, she immediately trails off with, "Lola, if you don't start talking right now..."
"Sorry," I simply state, knowing it's going to kill her when I say, "I don't suck and tell."
And I'm absolutely right, it does kill her, but I didn't think it'd nearly physically kill me too when Kelsey lets out a high-pitched squeal as she goes to hug me tightly. She immediately takes us both down on her mattress and I can't help the chuckles that escape out of me...I mean, come on, she's acting like last night was my first time or some shit.
When she releases most of her craziness out, we finally sit back up like normal people, although the current massive grin that she's wearing would still scare the average person, no doubt.
"I knew it! I knew he'd come along," Kelsey speaks up like a proud mama bear. "Looks like your theory won't be proven, after all."
"Let's not get carried away now, shall we?" I remind her. "We slept once, big deal."
"Right. As if you really expect me to believe that he didn't ask to see you again."
Oooo...Busted!
