*Author's Note: This is just a warning that this chapter is one of those that will have some very, very, very explicit sexual scenes and for those of you who'd rather not read that, I'm letting you know now ahead of time. That being said, quite a few things go down in this chapter...including one huge scene that eventually led to a groundbreaking realization by a certain character, thus setting off quite an epic journey for the rest of the story. I can only hope that this chapter does my thoughts on how I imagined all of this going down in my mind justice. Without further ado, I present you chapter 20. Hope you all enjoy it! Stay blessed! :)*

~Flashback Continued~

It was no joke that UCSB was a party school as much as it was competitive to get into, and given that there hasn't been a week since I've enrolled that I haven't gone to at least one party, it only made since for me to hit up as many as I could during Halloween night. And let's just say, I've been to plenty college Halloween parties in my lifetime, but nobody does it like UCSB and Isla Vista's Halloween shutdown. In other words, Del Playa is a Halloween riot.

Kelsey, Hayden and I went through the entire block, and no party had yet to disappoint. Eventually, we decided to separate, them going back to ATO while I'm currently revisiting Drew's place. UCLA's visiting football team and their crowd of people have been keeping me company ever since, and boy do these people know how to fucking party. Last hour's music has consisted of nothing but classic throwback songs, just as promised.

Along the way, there were even some slow songs. I danced with one of the linebackers to a few of them. I think he said his name was Darell, but I don't really remember. Though, he was one good kisser, I can say that much.

And all of that has led up to this very moment: me taking a breather with a bottle of Heineken in my hand...or so I thought because here comes the star quarterback's date -whose name I recently learned is Lindsey Steele- heading my way.

"Taking a break there?" She asks, plopping down onto the couch right next to me.

"Yeah," I lightly chuckle, "'been dancing all night. I didn't think they'd actually play all the classics tonight."

"Right?" She chuckles back, taking a sip of her Bud Light. "A friend of mine is pledged to this fraternity, and he says that they've been planning this thing for months."

"I can tell," I say, looking around the crowded living room. "I mean, I have yet to hear any complaints."

We spend a few more minutes talking about random things, and then she excuses herself to go back to her date. In the meantime, the tribute to Sleeping with Sirens continues where it left off a few minutes ago. Next thing I know, the entire football team, their people and I are all going crazy over one of my all-time favorite bands again, just as Ace comes walking back inside.

Ace and Brittany arrived at Drew's a good half-hour ago. They didn't notice me over the large crowd, but I just so happened to be sitting on Darell's shoulders at the time, so I had a full view of the front door. Anyway, Ace had stepped out at the beginning of one of Sleeping with Sirens' songs -"Heroine," I believe- and only just now came back to rejoin Brittany and another group of people in the dining room.

Precisely, that's also the moment my favorite Sleeping with Sirens song comes on...

Met a girl at seventeen
Thought she meant the world to me

We all go crazy again, and I'm thrown onto a medium-sized surf crowd that's currently surrounding me and my fellow throwback music enthusiasts. No joke, I feel like I'm on cloud nine. When I start belching out the second verse, Darell -and his star quarterback and best friend, Ricky- hoist me up on their shoulders, cheering me on.
