~Sunday, January 1, 2017 - The First Night of the New Year~

"Nope, nope, nope," Luca and Jason mutter together, immediately pulling Kelsey and I over to their side.

"No way in hell are we putting the couples together," Jason elaborates. "God knows how long it'd take the four of you to clean anything up if we do."

Okay, so you all are probably wondering what the fuck was going on at this point in time. Well, long story short, all the parents and kids were still at the Mendez's place by the time six o'clock had rolled around and when we received the news that they wouldn't be back until midnight, all of us immediately agreed to throw a party at our house...Yeah, big mistake because the next thing we knew, 'midnight' had turned into 'eleven at the latest,' leaving us only two hours -at the very most- to clean up what 200+ people had left behind when we had to cut the party short.

It had been one epic party, without a doubt, but we also valued our lives. So, we automatically kicked every one out, including the rest of the gang because although they wanted to help us out, they too would've gotten their asses kicked if they weren't back home by the time their parents had arrived. Afterwards, it was evident that we needed to start the clean up as soon as possible, but then another conflict had aroused: who cleans with who?

"But if you split us up, we'll just be sneaking into wherever they're cleaning," Ace retorts in a 'duh' tone.

"Yeah, don't you think that'll just waste even more time?" Hayden sides with his best friend, folding his arms across his chest. Our brothers immediately turn to face Kelsey and I, wrongfully hoping we have a solution to all of this.

"Hey, don't look at us," Kelsey immediately defends, her hands raised up with her palms facing forward.

"Yeah, they're the clingy ones, not us," I add on the obvious.

Luca and Jason throw their heads back -groaning in agony- while Ace and Hayden take the opportunity to fist bump each other, knowing they've won this round.

"Alright, fine!" Jason gives in, much to his dismay. "Stick together, but any spark spark bang bang and you can kiss those blessings we gave you goodbye."

"Noted," Ace and Hayden respond in unison, each sporting grins wide enough to show off their dimples.

Kelsey and I look at each other, rolling our eyes at the sight before us, but failing to hide our smiles at how lame these two can be. Our brothers, on the other hand, shake their heads at the two of them before going to clean the sunroom. Meanwhile, the four of us split up to clean our designated areas as couples.

"Just make sure not to clean anything too well!" Luca shouts from the sunroom.

"Yeah," I add on from the upstairs hallway. "Mom will know that something's up! We never clean voluntarily!"

"Well, aren't you a bad girl," Ace smirks beside me, smacking my ass with the wet rolled-up cloth in his hands.

"Do that again and see if you get any tonight," I threaten, narrowing my eyes in on him.

"Like you'd ever resist all this," he counters, motioning to himself and I roll my eyes before smacking his ass back with my own cloth. He furrows his eyebrows at me, rubbing his right butt cheek to soothe the pain. "You're cranky when you're under pressure...I like it," he then wiggles his eyebrows at me and I hold back a snort.
