~Three Months Later~
~Lola Dino's Point of View~
I know what you're all thinking, folks and yes, my fucking asshole and I have actually made it this far...so far. Our communication skills might've taken a turn for the worst back then, but we've learned to work on that over the course of these last few months that we've spent together. And honestly, we've never been better.
A lot has changed, that's for sure. But like I've been witnessing a lot lately, everything happens for a reason.
Ace and I, for instance, have been living together ever since he pulled a Liam Court on me and chased me across the fucking world. Well, minus the whole motorcycle-racing-down-the-runway-and-proposal thing...but it was still hot, nonetheless.
The first couple of weeks of our reunion were spent in reminiscing all the things we've missed in each other's lives, which always ended in making promises that we were for sure going to keep this time.
Then the second month arrived, and it was time to come clean to the rest of our loved ones that weren't present in Hayman Island that one eventful evening. It was surreal having to fill them in on what really happened between Ace and I all those years, but their support for us was there like it never even left.
Revealing the complete truth about Ace's past was probably the toughest part, though. Being involved with Christian's gang for the majority of his life, Ace only had one rule to abide by: never tell a soul about his freedom deal; not then, not ever. So, you can only imagine our surprised faces when his former boss, and my newly profound uncle -fuck if that little detail has yet to fully sink in- gave us the green light to spill the beans. We were skeptical at first.
Was it a trap? Could Christian Cantarella, the leader of one of the most notorious gangs worldwide, really be trusted despite everything he's done for us? We grew paranoid, to say the least. Nevertheless, Christian insisted that because a good portion of our family already knew due to himself revealing the information back in Australia, it was only fair that the rest were aware as well -his words, by the way, not ours- and thus we realized that his offer was actually genuine. So, we let everyone else in on this huge family secret that we've all promised to keep within our beautiful circle and...well, like I've said, things have never been better.
For those of you who are wondering what happened to the three culprits that initially drew the two of us apart, let's just say that's what the last month of our three-month reunion revolved around.
For starters, Lazzaro the Ungrateful Dino pretty much had his ass handed to him when a scandal broke out in regard to his latest money laundering scheme. Turns out, his company had only been doing worse over the years and, in attempt to illegally gain some money on the side through his investors, the FBI caught him red-handed. In addition to money laundering, he's been charged for several drug distribution conspiracies, kidnapping with aggravating factors, armed robbery and arson, all eventually resulting in a life without parole sentence which -in my opinion- was well overdue.
As for Addison Bailey, although her intentions were anything but innocent, Ace and I came to a mutual agreement not to charge her with anything...much less breaking or entering, let alone false impersonation. In a way, she was as much of an emotional victim in this as the rest of us and -as Ace put it- he wanted to remember her as the childhood friend he once knew, rather than the heartless woman that Lazzaro and Ryan had encouraged her to be. Last we heard of her, she was continuing to wow the world with her modeling skills. It seems like she's finally on a better path in life, and frankly, we couldn't be happier for her.
