*Author's Note: Hey guys! While reading the last chapter, and perhaps even this one, I understand if you got/get frustrated. But I just wanted to mention the fact that if it seems that Lola and Ace were completely oblivious to what that new 'feeling' between them was whenever they went to solely kiss, that's because they were. Keep in mind that neither of them had ever been in love before, nor had they ever had a boyfriend/girlfriend. So, although they might've had an idea of what that new feeling was deep down inside, they weren't experienced with it to know for sure yet. At this point in time of their story, because they only ever experienced the feeling whenever they were just kissing with their mouths -as it gave them the time to focus just on the kiss and what it would bring- they thought the feeling was just something that had to do with how they kissed. For all they knew back then, they were both just really good kissers whose skills were emphasized when they went to kiss like that. My long point being lol, the two had no idea what the fuck was going on between them which in itself would soon become more frustrating for both her and him, as neither of them ever liked to dwell on things that gave them a hard time.

All that being said, I really like the relationship development -that I hope is slowly starting to show, and will continue to show- between the two, which made me fall even more in love with the relationship I created for them later on (one that I hope you all will appreciate just as much as I do). I just wanted to put all this out there, so that no one feels discouraged enough to stop reading. Thus, keep everything I've just mentioned in mind while going through the flashbacks.

Stay blessed! :)*

"Dude. I've watched this movie at least ten times since it's been out, and the bar montage always gets me."

"Yeah, Justin Chon is one funny dude. I nearly died the first time I watched the scene were he pulled out his dick and started pissing on the crowd," Ryder responds just as the credits roll.

"Yeah," I chuckle.

Ryder texted me after class to meet up at his apartment and after some fun in his luxurious indoor pool -I had no idea the guy was crazy rich until he invited me over to his place for the first time today- we decided to watch 21 & Over in his theater room, where we may or may not have spent the first half of the film fucking in one of the recliners.

"Well, I should get going," I tell him, getting up from my seat to put my shorts and shirt back on. "I have a shit ton of laundry waiting for me back at my dorm."

"Before you go," Ryder says, getting up to get dressed himself, "can I ask what you're doing Friday night?"

"I have work until five. Why, what's up?"

"Well, my parents are opening up this new hotel downtown and they're throwing this huge gala thing for it. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind being my date. Trust me," he goes to say when he sees a hint of confusion on my face, knowing that I rarely ever do the whole 'date' thing, "I wouldn't go myself if there was any way I could get out of it, but I can't. They've been on my ass about it for months, and I figured I'd just invite someone I actually don't mind spending time with to help me get through the night."

"I get it," I nod my head in understanding, relieved that he wasn't looking to actually ask me out. "But people usually wear tuxes and ball gowns to galas, right? I don't know if you've seen my wardrobe," I chuckle, "but I own nothing even remotely close to a ball gown, nor do I have enough money to be buying one at the moment."
