8. The Incredible World Studio

Heartina...

I checked the time. It was 9.55 a.m. I had reached the studio at 9.30 a.m. as I did not want to be late on my first day. Sharply at 9.59 a.m., there was a parking sound of a car in the front. From an ostentatious red BMW, Kim Ji Won waved at his friends with a huge grin on his face. He also smiled at me and I shyly responded with a weak smile. He then took me to his studio. His studio was situated in a dark basement with muted light and so his lighting arrangements were perfect for his shots. As we went inside, there was a knock on the studio's door. Kim Ji Won rushed to open the door and it was a beautiful lady, about 25 years and really tall. She was so beautiful that it would make all the other girls jealous of her.

"This is Yoon Hae Ra. She is also a model", Kim Ji Won introduced her. She gave me a friendly smile and I smiled back.

"Hae Ra, this is Heartina Williams, my new model", he introduced me to her.

Then there was a makeup lady who took me to the dressing room. The dressing room had so many clothes, that I felt as though I was in a luxurious show room. The makeup lady gave me a baby pink frock with steel gray frills. She then pushed me into the makeup room where there were a lot yellow lights and white lights so bright that I had to shield my eyes for a few minutes. It had a large mirror so that I could see my complete image in it.

After 20 minutes of makeup, the makeup lady asked me to open my eyes and take a good look at myself. The creature in the mirror was really beautiful and I could not believe that it was me in the mirror. Then, I went into the camera room without knocking and to my great embarrassment, I saw Yoon Hae Ra kissing Kim Ji Won. Both jumped up when I entered and I could sense the shame on their faces. Yet, I acted as though I had not seen anything and went in. Then the entire day, I had to stare at the camera with different poses and with different expressions with different dresses.

Then there was another knock and I went to open the door. It was Choi Young. Then he went in and gave some files to Kim Ji won branded as "OLD STUDIO" and then went out. Later, I was given different dresses and was taken different shots. At last, it was about 2.00 p.m., when Ji Won said "Come back to the studio at 8:00 PM Heartina. We have to take a shot with the moon", he smiled and added, "This is your first day and you did a good job". I smiled back in response.

He then went upstairs and I changed my clothes and went back up to the café. There was only one table which had customers from outside and the other table was occupied by the members of the 5 fingers team. Out of which, Choi Young was missing.

I went closer and they did not look up at all, they were so engrossed in their conversation all I could pick up was only a single name 'Yi Jin'.

"Ahem", I cleared my throat loudly and they jumped up and looked up at me.

"Yoon Min Joon, can you bring me an iced Americano?" I asked him.

"With pleasure", he said and went to make some coffee.

I sat on a table that faced the café's garden. The other 3 members were back to their serious work. The garden reminded me of my small yet beautiful kitchen garden. My eyes were filled up with tears that all my old happy days flashed back. I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I did not notice that Yoon Min Joon was there with my coffee. Then, after one complete minute, I felt someone staring at me. It was Choi Young sitting in front of me and observing me. I had not noticed him coming to my table at all.

"Are you remembering something? I think you are longing for to see something" he asked and I gave a small nod and he took it as yes.

"By the way, I find you are good at giving poses and making angles fit for the camera. Are you a photographer?"

"You weren't there while I was being photographed. How did you see me?" I asked.

"I was there and you might not have seen me. Anyway, you didn't answer my question", he said.

"Well yes. My major is photography and I am a professional photographer", I smiled and at the same time felt anxious as he was reading me like an open book.

How in the world would this happen? I hid my expressions and sipped my coffee. Again he watched me silently. Then, without a word, I paid for my coffee and left the studio and I was back at the hospital by 3.00 p.m. My mom asked me about my work and I told her all about it. Next I waited for 8.00 p.m. for my next shot.
