48. Journey to Seoul

Choi Young...

Date: 19/07/2016... Time: 5:30 AM...

I didn't have the need to pack up my things as I was going back to my home at Seoul. I woke up early, showered and got myself dressed up to pick up Tae Kyung at 6:00 AM. I heard a knock and opened the door to find Heartina. She looked fresh like morning dew. She smiled at me and I said, "Good morning, sweetheart" and she grinned.

"Good morning, Young", she smiled.

She was looking at me and so "What are you looking at Heartina?" I asked her and she merely stared at me. Heartina saw Young wearing a plain white T shirt and dark blue jeans which gave him a casual look and then said, "Gazing at your physique", she smiled and I had to smile.

At that moment, I dropped my wallet and she bent down to pick it up but I had to be faster because, if she sees the photo inside, she is bound to discover my secret very soon. I was not prepared to tell her yet. I was quicker and picked up the wallet before her and I sighed.

But the next moment, she picked up the photo which had fallen out from my wallet and looked at it and then at me. I snatched the photo roughly from her and she was surprised. I wished she had not seen it at all. It was the photo of my twin and me.

"Who are those kids?" she asked innocently.

I was happy that she didn't identify that the kid was me. So, I found no other choice but to lie to her.

"Heartina, they are... they are... my far relative's kids. I love twins so I have their picture", I told her.

"But, they appear old, like they were taken 25 years back", she argued.

"Heartina, I am getting late", I said to change the topic.

"Why feel shy to show them to me? Give it to me. Let me look at it once", she held out her hand.

"No. I'm getting late. Bye then", I said and tried to move when she caught my hand.

"When will you come back?" she asked me.

"Probably in a couple of days", I smiled, not to hurt her very much.

"I thought you were going there for 1 or 2 days and now you tell me a couple of days", she whispered with pain.

I looked at her, she was in pain. I pulled her into my arms and she rested her head on my chest. I stroked her hair gently and we stood there for a minute. I kissed her forehead and she gave me a warm, radiant smile.

"Make sure you call me daily", she told me.

"Sure sweetheart", I smiled.

We went down to find Yoon Min Joon.

"I'm going to Seoul for an important task. It will take a couple of days. Take care of my Heartina while I'm gone. And both of you, look after Go Nam Soon properly", I said and walked towards my garage and took a white Audi and left quickly.

6:00 AM...

Tae Kyung's home...

Hwang Tae Kyung was also dressed in casuals and he was waiting for me. I was already there at the entrance but, he had not seen me yet. Then I drove right in front of him and Tae Kyung hopped in. We stopped in the middle for breakfast and then hurried back to continue their journey.

12:00 PM... Seoul... Choi's Mansion...

Hwang Tae Kyung got out of car and stared open mouthed at the big palace like mansion.

"Is this your home?" he asked me.

"Mmm...Yes", I said and I was used to this type of expression from people.

"Then why do you live in a small café leaving all these luxuries?" he asked in awe.

"I don't like a luxurious living", I replied.

"What? I would die to live in a place like this", he said still staring wide eyed.

"Tae Kyung!" I called.

"Hmm..." He was still looking at the front view of my house.

"I will introduce you as my friend to my parents and to Heartina's parents", I told him.

"Why?" he asked and finally I saw he had come back to reality.

"Because, Heartina's parents are not aware of the murder case at all", I explained.

"Why didn't you tell them?"

"At the time, they left Macau, they were patients"

"But now, you can tell them right?"

"I am going to tell them only if they do not cooperate and hide the past from us. Is that okay for you?"

"Okay. I think you are correct because, it will cause them to worry about their daughter.

Anyway, let us try as much as possible to hide all the mishaps from them", he smiled.
