33. Enjoyment and Disappointment

I was waiting for Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon near the reception. At that time, Choi Young came down alone. He smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Can I speak to you for a minute, alone?" he asked me.

I saw Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon coming down at that time.

"Are you ready Heartina?" they both called from there and I nodded at them.

"I am really sorry Young. I am going out with Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon. Can I speak to you later? May be at night when we get back?" I asked him.

"You... are going out with Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon?" he asked surprised.

I nodded and smiled, "Just giving you two some privacy", I winked at him and went to join Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon.

"Bye Young. Have a good time with your fiancée", Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon said together and left with me and I turned back to see Choi Young lost for words. I felt as though he was hiding something from me and this girl Shin Chae Kyung was different too. I threw away that thought and made my way out towards the shore. We went down to the shore at first and took a motor boat. There was a captain in that small boat and he started to ride the boat. The speed of that boat was really great. Within an hour, we were at the main island nearby. The town, as expected was a tourist place and it had a lot of shops. Of all the shops, the one that attracted me the most was a small food stall which sold fish cakes. I rushed to it.

"Heartina! Wait for us", I heard Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon yelling from behind me. But I ignored them all and rushed to that stall. There was an old lady sitting at that stall.

"Ahjumma! Tell me the cost of one fish cake", I asked her. Seeing Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon behind, she said, "Young lovely lady, are you here with Choi Young?"

"Yes"

"Then, you can have this for free. Eat as much as you want", she smiled.

I started eating. They were heavenly. Yoon Min Joon and Go Nam Soon finally caught up with me.

"What are you doing here, Heartina?" asked Yoon Min Joon.

"Eating Fishcakes. Here try it", I said giving fishcakes to both.

They hesitated. "We are sorry, but we do not eat road side food", they said.

"Try one for me. Please...please", I begged them. Then Go Nam Soon took one and started eating.

"Wow, it is very tasty. You must try some too Hyung!! Try it", he urged Yoon Min Joon.

Then Yoon Min Joon started to eat and beamed at me. "This is the tastiest food that we have ever had in our life, Heartina. Thank you so much", they said with fishcakes stuffed in their mouths. After 15 minutes, there were no fishcakes left over. Go Nam Soon took out his wallet to pay.

"Choi Young is a great man. We people here were actually refugees who came to South Korea after war. We had nothing- no food, no money, no job, no education. All we knew was cooking.
