Mr. Choi...

Before 27 years.

Choi's Hospital...

"Congratulations Mr. Choi. You are going to have a pair of kids very soon. Your wife is carrying twins", said the doctor with a smile.

"Thank you doctor", I smiled back. It was April 30th, 1989, when the doctor told me this and we were euphoric.

Jan 1st, 1990...

My wife got her labor pain and we rushed to the hospital. We knew she was carrying twins but, the date was soon.

"Mr. Choi, I see that your wife has got her pain soon, implying one of your babies might be premature", the doctor said with worry.

"But doctor, all the 3 will be fine, right?" I asked her.

"Yes and that is really good thing", she encouraged.

1 hour later... I heard a scream from a wife and then a baby's cry. For the first time in my life, I felt very happy to hear a cry of pain from my wife. It was a normal delivery. I was very happy and waited patiently for the second kid. The doctors were waiting too, but we found minutes passing and I found the wait really painful. The doctor came out,

"Mr. Choi, I expected normal delivery for both the kids, but now, I think we must do a surgery to have your second kid out", she said.

"What happened doctor?"

"There are some complications and it is the best to operate to save both, else their condition will become critical", the doctor informed me.

"Please do it doctor", I urged.

"I will and please sign these papers", she said and I did.

"Doctor! Can I see my first kid?" I asked her and she said, "Yes, I will ask the nurse to bring it to you", she smiled.

My parents and my in-laws came to the hospital and the nurse came out to give me my first kid. It was a baby boy, so beautiful and I thanked the Almighty for blessing us with this kid. The most beautiful part was that, when I touched him, he took my index finger in his tiny hand and didn't leave it for some time. It felt like I was flying in the air.

Though I was billionaire and had a lot of experiences in my life, nothing came close to this moment where, I had him in my hand. I had tears of joy in my eyes.

2 hours later...

"Congrats Mr. Choi, your second kid is here", said the doctor and I was happy to see the second kid. It was a baby boy too.

"Wow doctor, they are identical twins", I said with wonder and she beamed.

"But, I must tell you this. Look at the two of them. The second one, was not properly formed during birth and hence looks a bit smaller that the first kid. On examination, we found out, the second kid's lungs are not properly developed yet and hence must be placed into neonatal ward for 10 days from this moment", she said.

My in-laws had gone in to see my wife with my first kid in their arms and my parents went in to see my wife too.

"Doctor, if we keep in the neonatal ward for 10 days, will he be alright?" I asked her.

"We can't be sure. I can guarantee that he will be 90% alright. He might get some breathing problems like wheezing", she said.

"Ok doctor, then take him to the neonatal ward", I said with worry to see a new born being put in for treatment.
