78. 5 Fingers Again

Icy and Hae Ra were released and the same crowd welcomed them back. As they were all out, we had arranged a party at Choi's manor at Seoul.

Seoul... Choi's manor...

It was a big party. Icy and I dressed ourselves but there was a knock and we opened the door to find a weird lady standing there.

"Hello blue eyes", she said.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am here to dress you both tonight", she said and entered the room pushing me out of the way.

"Oh!" was all I could say.

She came in and dressed both of us. Icy and I stayed in the same room. She dressed me in an electric blue shining ball gown and Icy with ice blue ball shining ball gown. It matched our eye colors.

She made a same hair style to both and dressed us up like princesses. Finally, to add further beauty, she put on a silver crown with a big electric blue stone in the middle reflecting light in all directions and for Icy, it was the same with ice blue stone in the middle.

Our dress was sleeveless and had a big neck. So, the makeup lady put on a golden chain for both of us which had a big ruby, which was blood red in the middle. Then she turned us towards the mirror to see a full view of ourselves in the mirror. We both looked at ourselves to find 2 new creatures in front of us. We looked different and beautiful.

We went down to the garden where the party was to be held. We found Yoon Hae Ra, So Ha Ni and Cheon Song Yi standing there. All looked beautiful. Yoon Hae Ra wore a sea blue ball gown, So Ha Ni wore a midnight blue ball gown and Cheon Song Yi wore and aqua blue ball gown. We were all in blue.

We went towards them.

"Wow! Both of you look so beautiful", Hae Ra complimented though she looked at Icy, her best friend now. I was happy to see Icy have a good friend after a long time.

Actually, Hae Ra had become so close to Icy. Both were in the same cell and both had a great time there. It was not like they were repenting for their mistakes; it was like they were having some slumber party together.

"Yes", added Cheon Song Yi and So Ha Ni. These two had become close to me and we had a good time when our boyfriends were all so busy. Sometimes, even my mom and dad joined the group.

"Where are all the boys?" asked Icy

"No idea", said the other three.

Suddenly a booming voice made us all jump. It was Mr. Choi in the mike and next to him stood Mrs. Choi and my parents. They were dressed formally and I wondered why.

"Now I call upon the stars of tonight", he said.

"What? Stars?" said Hae Ra and Icy together and both said, "We are the stars today", together and giggled.

"We welcome the new 5 fingers gang", he called in a loud voice.

"What? New 5 fingers gang?" we all said and turned around to see them coming from the other side.

Choi Young, Yoon Min Joon, Go Nam Soon, Hwang Tae Kyung and finally Ki Ha Myung came there. All of them were dressed in tuxedos. All looked great. Choi Young looked like a prince. Then following them, were the parents of each member. They were all happy to see all of us at the same place and time.

"Let the ceremony begin", announced Mr. Choi.

"Ceremony? What ceremony?" we all asked together.

Then we saw the 5 fingers walking towards us. I wondered why we were having all these '5 pair activities'

Choi Young kneeled in front of me and so did Hwang Tae Kyung before Icy, Go Nam Soon in front of So Ha Ni, Yoon Min Joon before Cheon Song Yi and Ki Ha Myung before Hae Ra.

We were really thrilled as this was totally unexpected. We looked at each other and giggled. It bought a sort of light to all our faces.

"You may start your proposal now", said Mr. Choi from the stage.

"I love you", said Choi Young, Tae Kyung, Min Joon, Nam Soon and Ha Myung to their respective girlfriends.

"Will you marry me?" they all asked together in a chorus.

Seeing them, we all girls looked at each other and counted one, two and three and we all said 'YES' in a chorus.

The next moment, we were all up in the air. Choi Young had lifted me up, Tae Kyung had lifted up Icy, Go Nam Soon had lifted up So Ha Ni, Yoon Min Joon had lifted Cheon Song Yi and Ha Myung had lifted up Yoon Hae Ra. I thought it was all pre planned by them. The parents had also, done their part in making this 5 pair event a success.

We all laughed when they put us down and we sat down around a single table that was large enough to hold 25 people at the same time. It was a perfect set up as we were 10 and our parents included 15 people. We ate for a long time and there were so many items.

I looked around to find everyone happy at last. Only few stories had good endings and I was happy that our family story was one among them. Though people may face a lot of tragedies in their lives at the start, the end is always decided by the Almighty and it would always be the best one for us.

I thought about the past and found the year 2012, 2014 and 2016 were the years with turning points in all our lives. In 2012, my family was ripped apart, President Yoon had died, Choi Won Young died and Yoon Hae Ra found out everything about Kim Ji Won.

Similarly, in 2014, Icy had come back to Macau and met Tae Kyung and this year 2016, included the climax of Kim Ji Won's and Eun Sang's death, my meet with Young and finally the truth fought its way out.

I did not remember my friends at all as I had memory loss. But to see this table filled with a lot of friends, I was so happy. But there were also bad examples of friends like Kim Ji Won and Eun Sang. My opinion about their friendship is that

'Friends are like flowers that wither up within few hours'

But on the other side, to see great friends like Min Joon, Nam Soon and Young, I was reminded of another opinion about friendship which was,

'Friends are like flowers, beautiful flowers in the garden of love. Friends are like handkerchiefs because they wipe away our tears and sweat and make us comfortable'

Everyone was happy tonight and so was I. I wished it would last forever.
