13. Blood Type

Hwang Tae Kyung...

Doctor Lee Dong Jung was doing her usual morning duties and was on rounds when she received a call from her main nurse. The nurse said, "Police officer Hwang Tae Kyung is here to see you for some important reason. He wants you here immediately as it is regarding some evidence that he has collected over a murder." Then, the doctor said, "I will come back immediately and please give him some juice".

Doctor Lee Dong Jung was my senior at school and also was a senior neuro surgeon at a Government hospital. We were great friends since then, because we lived in the same neighborhood till her marriage. She diagnosed all the diseases correctly and never even failed once. She was the youngest senior doctor not only in that hospital but also in the whole of China. She had also helped me in solving many cases.

I waited in the room, and within 5 minutes, Dr. Lee Dong Jung was there and she greeted me with a big smile on her face.

I smiled back and said, "Noona (Sister in Korean)! How are you?"

The doctor smiled and said, "I am fine. I heard that you are here on an emergency case. Now tell me about the case and in what way can I help you?"

I then narrated the entire case. She listened patiently. She then told, "The blood group identification is a simple process and it can be done soon. However, after post-mortem, I will tell you the cause of the death. Also, with that hair I will perform a DNA test and will compare it with that of the Kim Ji Won's DNA. If it matches, then the hair belongs to Kim Ji Won and if it does not match, then the hair belongs to the murderer. We will find out really soon. Now you must wait for an hour while I confirm the blood sample."

I was confident that the blood sample will give me a clue. I thanked her and left the hospital with a new wave of energy.

I became the chief of Police 2 years back. I dealt with a lot of cases from then. But, in every case, there would be some clue left by the killer. But, this is the only case with the minimum number of clues and vaguest description as the 5 fingers, could not point to any one as the killer. I expect this case to be a bit complex.
