Heartina...

My journey was really smooth until we met up with that accident. The accident took place when we reached Macau and then took a taxi to reach our hotel. Unfortunately, there was a bus which was empty except for two passengers (a young man and woman). It looked as though the young man inside had rented the whole bus for his girlfriend.

The bus moved at a slow pace and did not allow our taxi to overtake it too. It was getting on the taxi driver's nerves. We were so close to the bus that we could see everything going on inside the bus. To my great horror, the two inside the bus started to play with water guns spraying water on each other and then they also showered it over the driver (bus driver). He slowly started to lose concentration of the road and kept laughing and enjoying with them. The driver turned back to stare at the couple when a truck suddenly butted in front of the bus and then, that driver suddenly hit the brake. We, being so close to this bus never anticipated this move. We simply crashed into the bus and that is all I remember.

Then I woke in a hospital to find that my father and mother, still unconscious. The taxi driver was badly hurt, but I was thankful that he was alive. I had some small bruises over my left half of the body. My mom had a small head injury and a big fracture in the leg so; she couldn't walk and was forced into a wheel chair. The worst of all was that, my father had a broken arm which means that he will not be able to continue his carpentry works anymore.

The doctor advised my mom and dad not to travel for at least 10 days. It was really hard. What will I do to go back to Seoul as all the money was spent paying hospital bills and buying medicine? The lottery company people had not anticipated this. They simply gave me a sum of money and also cancelled my ticket back to Seoul as the exact date for booking the return tickets would be difficult. Also, as the money was given in my hands, they cancelled their hotel expenditures and left me alone in the hospital in a new city.

The money was sufficient to pay the hospital bills only. Till now, I booked a single room in the hospital and asked them to arrange for 2 patient beds and a guest bed with an attached bathroom. I got them the initial medicines. As they did not book a hotel for us, we had to stay at the hospital for 10 days. All that I needed was more money. The money that the lottery company gave me wasn't enough to buy medicines in the hospital. I did not know what to do? I had bought initial medicines from our savings money. Now I was penniless.

My dad could not continue his daily work and my mother had to spend all her time on a wheelchair at least for a week. Now how will we all go back to Seoul? I felt as though the thunder has fallen over my head. But still my parents are here to support me and I took a big decision to save them and take them back to Seoul. I swore myself that I would find a way to go back after 10 days of their rest. That night, I lay awake for long time thinking about it. My first need will be a job. Will I find it in a new city without any certificates? Will I be able to become the bread winner of my family? Will I go back to Seoul after 30 days with my parents? With these buzzing questions I drifted into sleep.
