15. A Rare Case

I was in my office. It was afternoon say about 2.00 pm. I was deep in thought that I didn't even realize it was past lunch time and the office was empty.

I was recalling my encounter with the doctor. She gave me weird results.

Hospital...

"What about the blood sample Noona? What was the blood group?" I asked her.

"I am very sorry Tae Kyung. I think I can't help you with the information I got after testing", she said with a worried look.

"Is the blood Kim Ji Won's?" I asked as, it was the worst outcome.

"No, the blood is not human blood at all", she said.

"What?" I was shocked.

"It is animal blood", she said and continued, "I know it is very bizarre, but that is the truth. It didn't match with any blood type"

"Which animal's blood is it?" I asked

"I think bird may be the right word. It is a rooster's blood", she said.

"How did you confirm it?" I asked unable to hide my curiosity.

"I gave the sample to my friend, a vet. She confirmed it for me", she said.

"Wow! It has made the case even more complicated".

"What about the PM report?"

"The key points of weapons will not be necessary because, the weapons were there at the place of murder. He was poisoned before death and no finger prints. The DNA test was a waste because, the hair belonged to Ji Won. That is not a clue now. That is all", she said.

"What? Poisoned?" I asked

"Yes and one clue is the poison works only when mixed with water, but now there are about 1000 like that and it will be difficult to point out as water dilutes the poison completely"

It was as Go Nam Soon had described. I was surprised because, Kim Ji Won had died only a week ago and next was another murder.
