50. Waste of Time

Tae Kyung and I entered my mansion. Tae Kyung was still staring at the antique objects and the beautiful interior decorations and architecture. I wondered when he would stop this and start working on our case here.

"Welcome home my son", cried my dad and came quickly towards me and gave me a tight hug. I hugged him back and I was happy to meet my parents after many days.

"Hello dad. Where is mom?" I asked and at that moment, my mom came out with a big smile on her face.

"Welcome home darling!" she said and gave me a hug.

"Mom, dad this is my friend Hwang Tae Kyung", I told them and both said hello to him and directed us towards the guest room. Tae Kyung expected it to be a single room but it was like a separate guest house.

"You will stay here", I told Tae Kyung

"What? This full house is for me to stay alone?" he said with a surprise and I smiled and said, "Don't hesitate. Make yourself comfortable Tae Kyung".

"Mom, where are Heartina's parents?" I asked getting down to work.

"They are staying in the second guest house Young", my mom told me.

"I will pay them a visit. Tae Kyung, want to come with me to meet them?" I asked.

"Of course. It would be my pleasure", he said and tagged along.

Actually my home was pretty different. There was a main entrance which led to a large house. Then from there, there were passages to different small houses. One was for me and there were 2 guest houses to stay.

My parents stayed in the big house. They referred it as rooms rather than houses. Also the entire house was surrounded by big garden which were very well maintained by a lot of maids and gardeners. Seeing all this, Tae Kyung nearly forgot the reason for which he was here. We finally reached the second guest house to find Mrs. and Mr. Williams resting in the couch. They were sitting leisurely with a book in their hands and were reading so sincerely that they did not even notice us coming in.

I cleared my throat loudly and both jerked and looked up from their books.

"Oh! Its Young", said Mrs. Williams with a big smile.

"Hello dear! Did you bring Heartina with you?" asked Mr. Williams expecting to see Heartina behind me.

"No Mr. Williams. I'm here for an important work and thought I must pay my parents a visit. Also, I have to check your body condition right?" I smiled.

"Of course... of course... Your parents are so hospitable and they treated us really well. See I have started to move my hands too", said Mr. Williams.

"Actually I am here to check Mrs. Williams as she was the one who had the head injury earlier in the accident. And this is my friend Hwang Tae Kyung", Young pointed at Tae Kyung who smiled at them.

"Hello dear", said Heartina's mom and dad.

"Aren't you a cop in Macau?" asked Mr. Williams.

Both of us were shocked and then I decided to accept that fact, "Yes, he is a cop. And we are here on a case to look at the PM reports and find out the culprit. So, we will be staying here for maybe a week and within that, I will examine you properly Mrs. Williams"

"Feel free to call us Aunty and Uncle. It makes us uneasy to hear formal addressing from our life savior", said Mrs. Williams and I nodded in approval with a big smile on his face.
