68. The Unwanted Murder & the Unknown Murderer

Choi Young...

I was standing in the terrace with Heartina...

"I put him to a hypnotic test. He said he overheard his friends' talk the night before. It was Kim Ji Won and Eun Sang. They were not aware that my twin was there. They had killed many people and yet have escaped somehow. Kim Ji Won was the major of them and Eun Sang was his follower. My twin Choi Won Young had believed them to be good men till that moment. They had killed so many which included a famous model So Yi Jin, a family with twin kids and majorly President Yoon. To add more, they, I mean Eun Sang and Ji Won were friends with the other 3 only because, they had a lot of money. It was too much for him to bear. He considered them as his best friends, but they were sticking up with him to mooch food and money and some company. He nearly cried out and had tears streaming down his face", I told her with a sorrow filled voice.

"Then what happened? How did he die?" she asked me.

"He told me everything and then I wanted to solve this problem for him. So, I said, I would go to Macau for some time and he would be at Seoul for me. He agreed but then again said, he had something important to complete at Macau. I asked him what and he said, it was his graduation which he had to attend. So we decided to exchange after his graduation. I told him I would see his graduation ceremony by disguising myself in the crowd. We left for Macau together", I said and she interjected me with a question.

"Wait! Is he getting graduated? If so, then which field?"

"Arts - Psychology", I said.

"But you are a doctor and these people all tell that you are a doctor. How did you solve that problem?" she pried.

"Yes, that is a good question. I was a major in surgery and studied psychology out of interest in Seoul. But since he graduated in psychology, I got the degree as a psychologist too without learning it officially. But

people here, knew he was a psychology major student. So, when I was here, I mean after his death, I told everyone I was going to learn medicine, but secretly practiced at Choi's hospital for 2 years", I explained.

"It would have been hard on you. OK! Now continue", she smiled.

"We came to Macau but we did not go the café but, stayed in a hotel and I stayed disguised while we went out. The plan was to exchange ourselves the next night when graduation would be over. He went back to the café to meet his friends and stayed there before the graduation day. I came separately and he was there with his friends. He somehow came to me and once again showed me who Kim Ji Won and Eun Sang were", I recalled.

"What was your plan? To kill them?" she asked tensed near me.

"No, there is a difference between them and us right? I was a psychologist and then wanted to give them counseling and make them good persons. That was our plan. As planned that night I went there but unfortunately, there was this boy Eun Sang sitting in the entrance and thinking deeply about something. He did not even notice me coming. Then immediately, the power went off and then I found Choi Won Young coming down into the café. At the same time, Eun Sang noticed me at the entrance and shouted, 'Thief'. Kim Ji Won then came down fast and thought Choi Won Young was the thief and put a kerchief over his mouth. You see, he must not be out of breath. He became unconscious and fell down. Kim Ji Won hurried then took a bat and hit it over Choi Won Young's head and ran to get a torch to see the thief's face. Eun Sang was out in the garden thinking that he was chasing me. But, I rushed to Choi Won Young's side and carried him quickly to his room in the first floor. I put him on the bed and started working on his head. He was barely conscious and so, without anybody's knowledge, I carried him and took him to a clinic in Macau. I was in disguise so no one identified me. The doctors there tried to save him. But, you see Ji Won had put a kerchief in his mouth right? He can't get out of breath and so, he passed away. That day, I swore to

kill Kim Ji Won. Though it was an unwanted murder, I wanted to kill him for 3 reasons which are he was not a real friend, he loved money a lot, he killed many people", I finished.

"Then why did you act that day in front of that Ahjumma?" she asked me.

"Oh, you mean in the island? That was because; I had to act like Choi Won Young in front of my friends. I always act before them though nobody has ever noticed it", I said as a matter-of-fact.

"Then, did you kill Ji Won?" asked Heartina.

"No", I said honestly.

"Do not lie to me Young", she said.

"I swear, I did not kill him", I said.

"Prove it!"

"You have my word Heartina. I swear on our love", I cried desperately.

"Then who is the murderer?" she shouted.

"The killer is lady under black hood Heartina", I told her ferociously.

"No, I did not kill him too", she said.

"What?" he froze.

"I am not Heartina. I am her twin and I did not kill Kim Ji Won", the twin told me. I was shocked.

I stood stranded in that place. In the corner, stood a lady, very silent like a stealthy cat. She had heard the entire conversation. She was shocked too.
