Chapter 34

Stella's POV

Dumaan pa ang ilang araw, nagpost nalang si Julia ng pictures nila sa social media na graduation na pala nila. At kinagulat ko na magkasama sila ng family niya with her ex boyfriend Dennis. Are they back together?. That gave me another heartache.

Naging okay narin kami ni Katrina. She apologized and alam naman nyang hindi ko sya matitiis. She even told me everything she learned about Julia and is willing to accept us.

For me, that is such a relief. Atleast one of my friends tried to understand me.

10am. Tumambay kami sa bahay nina Anne.

".. mabuti nalang talaga at nagkaayos na kayong dalawa. Ang hirap kayang pumagitna." Sabi ni Chel samin ni Kat.

"Sinabi mo pa. Sya nga pala Stella, si Julia kamusta na?. Hindi pa kasi ako nakakadalaw sa kanila eh. Sana soon." Sabi ni Anne.

"Ako rin, Stella dalawin natin sya." Sabat naman ni Chel.

"S-sige, kayong bahala. Kailan ba?."

"Bukas." Suggest ni Katrina.

"Family reunion namin,remember?. I can't miss that." Sabi ni Anne.

"Sa susunod na bukas." Sabi ko.

"Uuwi Daddy ko from states, susunduin namin sya." Sabi naman ni Chel.

"Kung hindi bukas or sa susunod na araw, kailan pa?." Tanong ni Katrina.

"Syempre ngayon." Sabay talagang sabi ng dalawa na kinagulat namin ni Kat.

Vish's POV

Imbes na magstay kami sa sala, I told her na tumambay nalang kami sa kwarto niya kasi their helpers are making me uncomfortable. And good thing kasi pumayag din sya.

And I miss her wearing those glasses.

There's an awkward silence at first kasi biglang nagtext sakin si Vince. Nireplyan ko muna hanggang sa napansin ko nalang na nakatitig pala sakin si Julia.

"What?." Tila natatawa kong tanong rito.

"Totoong tao ka ba talaga?." Inosente nyang sabi.

"Yes haha. Maganda lang ako, pero tao to no." Lapit ko sa kanya sitting down beside her on her bed.

"You know what, I really miss you. Sorry, ngayon lang ako nakadalaw ah." Akbay ko pa sa kanya.

And she seemed a bit uncomfortable about the gesture. Pero okay lang, masasanay din sya.

"Are you really my bestfriend?." She asked again.

"Of course. Since elementary."

"So we're like sisters?." Julia, seriously?. Pati ba naman ngayon sisterzoned parin ako?. Pwes, di ako papayag.

"Nope. More like lovers." I said with a wink, rubbing her my hands on her shoulders down to her arms. More in a seductive way, kaya naramdaman kong medyo lumayo sya ng bahagya.

"Wh-what do you mean?." Kabado nyang sabi.

"I'll tell you next time, baka matrauma ka ulit pag sinabi ko sayo ngayon."

"Okay?. Parang iba pakiramdam ko din dyan sa sasabihin mo. Basta balik ka dito sa susunod ha."

"Syempre naman, kahit araw araw pa. Ah eto, may naalala akong moment natin. Alam mo ba nung junior high tayo, tayo yung dalawa sa pinaka bully sa school. Like we're both trouble makers, pero lumipat kasi ako ng school kaya pinagpatuloy mo yung reputation natin mag-isa. Until one day, bigla kang nagbago. And you even asked me to change too."

"Mabuti naman at naging good influence din pala ako sayo noon."

"Yeah, we can say that--wait, pwede bang maki connect sa speaker mo?."

"Sure. No problem."

So I connected it via Bluetooth and played Bad Things by MGK and Camila Cabello.

"That. That's our favorite song, like we could just listen to that all day long."

"What's it called?."

"Bad things." I said smiling, habang sumasabay sa kanta.

I want you forever even when we're not together.

My type of true love.

She made me realize that you can't actually accomplish someone's heart by simply possessing physical beauty. Na hindi puro ganda lang, kasi pwede ngang nagagandahan sya sakin ng sobra ngayon pero that doesn't mean na she'll fall for me the way I expected her to be.

Dennis's POV

Nasa bahay lang ako nila Vince. Naglaro lang kami ng xbox.

"Yung pictures nyo in Julia's graduation, does that mean na nagkabalikan na kayo?."

"Ah hindi. Pero we're friends again, like bestfriends. Ang daming nagbago sa kanya grabe."

"Like what?."

"She's brutally honest now. Like if she hates something I did, she'll tell me sooner. Hindi gaya nung dati na kinikimkim nya lang sa sarili nya. And the moment I told her why we broke up, that I cheated on her--she said I'm forgiven. Like dude, she used to despise me because of that."

"Kaya dude wag mo nang uulitin yun. Well, she may forgave you but the trust is no longer there. And to be honest?. You don't deserve someone who has a precious heart as hers. I saw it."

"Saw what?."

"Her big heart. How she cared so much for my sister. I knew how good of a person she is. Kaya nga na fall din si Vish sa kanya eh haha."

"Akala ko ba babae ang ate mo?."

"Babae nga."

"So tibo sya?. Sayang."

"Walang sayang sayang sa love dude. And she's called Bi. I don't care what she wants to call herself basta it will never change the fact that she's my sister."

"Like wow. Julia and Vish?. That's weird, and hot at the same time. I ship it!."

"Alright! #Vishlia." Sabay apir. Mga siraulo talaga kami.

Vish's POV

I opened her closet na naka-lock at pinakita sa kanya lahat ng taken memories namin. Especially our hundreds of Polaroid pictures glued to the closet walls. With labels of what we did that day.

May colorful lights pa sa loob para makita namin yun ng klaro. And she seemed amazed by all of it. Kinuha ko pa yung isang model of an old pirate ship.

"This one is what we called the Camren ship. It's a ghost ship actually. I gave it to you on your 16th birthday. Grabe, pinag-ipunan ko yan ng ilang buwan."

"The myth that will never die?." Basa nya sa nakaimprenta sa ship.

"Yes, because some people still believes in ghost ships you know."

"But we know that they don't exist at all."

"Pero there are a lot of reported evidences and conspiracy theories about that. Kaya sometimes, we're just convinced to believe. Na hopefully meron. Na they must have existed."

"Hopefully meron?."

"I'm always optimistic about this kinds of sht you know. Both of us were. Except for the fact that you're geekier. You love those things that you even wanted so bad to believe them."

"Like people who are deeply inlove."

"What?."

"I call them Hopeful Morons."

"Wait, how did you--"

"I've read it in my journal. Na we used to think that our relationships with our romantic interests could last forever, kahit alam na nating that's not possible logically and physically. And that's what makes us hopeful morons."
