Chapter 10

Abbie's POV-

My eyes widened and I could feel the blush spread on my cheeks. I blinked widely at his question, I was kinda shocked and taken aback.

I was hesitant but managed a small nod.

His piercing eyes searched mine before slowly starting to lean in. My hands were placed on his chest and my eyes started to flutter closed.

Luke POV-

Her hesitant reaction made me regret my question straight away. Negative thoughts started to cloud mind.

'Of course she wouldn't want to kiss you! she only just met you a few days ago when you randomly showed up claiming to be her 'guardian'!'

I started to get angry at myself for even thinking it was a possibility. Whilst I started to untangle myself from our embrace I attempted to calm myself down. I didn't need to go all dark side and ghoulish on her now. That'd creep her out even more.

Wait? did she nod?

She nodded! that's a yes! she wants to kiss me!

'Okay' I thought to myself ' you've been thinking of this for years, don't mess this up now'.

I searched her eyes for any negative feelings about the kiss, but started to lean in when i failed to find any.

Her eyes started to flutter shut and I guided my mouth towards hers before closing my eyes.

Our lips finally met and I couldn't help but smile into the kiss. As our lips started to move against each others I lifted my hand to cup the side of her face. Her dainty hands left my chest and traveled to the base of my neck tangling her fingers in the short strands of hair.

Not wanting to I reluctantly pulled away from her lips as I needed air. Her kiss had already intoxicated me.

I couldn't help but grin as I watched her slightly flustered expression fade into an embarrassed smile.

I pecked her lips three times before pulling away fully.

"So..." I cleared my throat.

"So..." Abbie giggled. "That was some first kiss"

I smiled down at her. "Yeah it was" I replied.

She giggled once more before nuzzling her head into my chest.

"I've been waiting to do that for a very long time" I truthfully said.

"Well?" she looked up at me "was it what you expected?" she asked.

"Everything and more" I replied.

Her laughter filled my ears and she mumbled a 'you're so cheesy' in between giggles.

"Yeah yeah, whatever" I replied as I rolled my eyes.

I pecked her lips one more time before turning off the lamp and falling asleep with a smile etched onto my face.

Abbie's POV-

My angry alarm awoke me once again but I found myself unable to turn it off as i was restrained by Luke's cuddle.

I giggled before shoving him off me slightly and turning off the alarm.

Luke groaned as he opened his eyes.

"It's Saturday! why'd you set the alarm?" he questioned whilst making grabby hands at my body as he wanted to cuddle again.

"Sorry, I forgot to turn it off" I said sheepishly.

"So you don't have work today?" he questioned whilst staring at me with sleepy eyes.

"No" I smiled. "We have the day all to ourselves and I'm planning on taking you shopping for your room and stuff"

"Awesome" he replied.

We lead in silence for a few minutes before her perched himself on one elbow in front of me.

He leaned forwards and attached his lips to mine. Once again, he cupped his hand on my cheek and my hands found the way to the back of his neck.

"I like kissing you - it's like newfound drug to me" he mumbled against my lips.

Butterflies once again erupted in my stomach and I giggled in reply. There was something about Luke that made me turn into a giggly school girl. It was strange. I've giggled so much in the last twenty four hours than I probably have in my entire life!

We both pulled away and he sighed.

"I suppose I should look for a job today" he said.

"You don't have to"

"Yeah but I live here too now, so I should pay half the rent. But to pay I need money and to get money I need a job" he replied.

"If that's what you want to do then that's okay with me" i retaliated "hey, how about you get a job at the restaurant? we're short staffed and that way you can also look out for me" I said.

"That'd be perfect" luke smiled whilst pecking my lips.

"Well let's head to the shops then, to finish your room" I said whilst moving out of the bed.

He muttered an 'okay' whist also moving out of the bed.

"Oh" he said before he left my room "I also wanna learn how to drive" he smiled cheekily before leaving the room.
