Chapter 20

Abbie's POV -

"So you're my guardian?" Mickey questioned whilst pointing at Ash. She's confused as we had just explained the whole 'guardian' thing to her.

Ash nodded and she muttered a 'right' before continuing.

"You've watched over me since birth?" and again Ash nodded.

"Have you ever watched me while I was in the shower; or changing!" She exclaimed.

"Only when it was necessary" Ash cooly replied whilst shrugging his shoulders. Mickeys eyes widened and she started to hit him repeatedly on the arm.

"You pervert!" she exclaimed and we all laughed at her reaction.

"Guys I'm bored!" Michael groaned after the laughter died down.

"Yeah" Calum chimed in "let's watch a movie or something" he suggested.

We all nodded in reply and made our way to the sofa. As we got comfortable Michael put 'Guardians of the Galaxy' into the DVD player before sitting back down.

I snuggled into Luke's chest, we were incredibly close to each other because of the fact that I had to sit on his lap and Faye had to sit on Calum's lap as there wasn't enough room for all of us on the sofa.

As the film started there was background chatter as each couple talked quietly to each other whilst half watching the movie.

"So" luke began whilst tightening his grip on my hips "we could go looking for our own apartment tomorrow" he finished and looked at me with a hopeful smile.

"Why?" I asked.

"Well, one, because your house burned down. Two, Jo and Michael are eventually going to get annoyed with us staying here. And finally, I think it would be nice if we had a small place for ourselves" he said whilst twirling a piece of my hair between his fingertips.

"That's a good idea" I nodded and smiled down at him. He grinned and pecked my lips before replying.

"Yeah, and I was talking to Michael, and he said that there are some free apartments in this building. If you wanna check those out?"

"I'd love to" I said and smiled as he grinned at me.

I turned my attention back to the movie but got distracted by him humming in my ear.

"That's a nice tune, what song is it?" I asked curiously.

"It's one of mine and the boy's songs" he replied.

"Sing it to me" I said, suddenly exited.

Luke joking rolled his eyes before explaining that he's sing it to me privately in our room. We made some lame excuse and left the room.

I jumped into the bed and Luke followed suit. I sat between his legs with my back pressed against his chest.

"Sing" I demanded and he chuckled in reply before starting to sing.

"Hands around my waist,
You're counting up the hills across the sheets.

A glimmer lighting up these cotton streets.

I admit I'm a bit of a fool for playing by the rules.
But I've found my sweet escape when I'm alone with you.

He finished and I clapped jokingly. He smiled and giggled at my reaction.

"What did you think?" he questioned.

"I loved it! I love the lyrics and your voice is amazeballs" I said and kissed his lips.

He smiled into the kiss.

"What's the meaning behind the lyrics?" I asked.

"You. You and I. The system. We wrote them when you girls didn't know we were yours and when we were upset about it" he said and I nodded in understanding.
