Abbie's POV -
My arm was linked with Dylan's as we walked down the busy street. Frowning, I was in deep thought; this didn't feel right.
Basically, Dylan and Michael had initiated operation 'get Luke back'. But seeing as Michael wouldn't put me in harms way I had to pretend to be.....involved with Dylan.
So far I don't think it is convincing. Surely Luke will see straight through it?
"Ya know, for this to seem legit - you'll have to actually look like your enjoying my company" Dylan said through his fake gritted smile.
"I am trying to make it seem as real as possible" I said back with a fake giggle.
Dylan rolled his eyes "yeah, well try not to act as through the smile on you face is causing you pain"
Dylan and I awkwardly carried in walking and I nearly jumped out of my skin at the sound of my phone ringing in my pocket.I got it out of my coat pocket and held it to my ear.
"You look so convincing" Michael said sarcastically over the line.
"Hi to you too!" I said sarcastically " but if you think that this is easy, then why don't you come and do it yourself ?" I retaliated as we turned the corner.
Michael, Calum and ash were around somewhere. They are checking the surrounding enviroment for Luke to see if he turns up and how he reacts.
"Whatever" Michael said "just imagine Dylan is Luke"
I rolled my eyes "that's a lot harder than you think" I said and hung up.
I put the phone in my pocket and Dylan opened the little café door for me.
"Thanks" I said with fake enthusiasm; I could tell Dylan's patience was wearing thin.
We walked up to the counter and the woman cheerily took our orders.
"Oh, aren't you two just the most adorable couple" she gushed whilst making our coffees.
"We are?" I said with doubt and She looked at me with her eyebrows raised.
"Oh! Yeah we are!" I awkwardly said whilst I rested my head on Dylan's shoulder and intwined our hands. Dylan's posture stiffened at my touch but I soon felt him relax.
When our coffees were eventually done we sat in one of the corner booths. I was sat on one side and Dylan was on the other.
A horrible silence filled the room apart from the background clatter. We both looked down at the floor for a few moments before Dylan sighed heavily, got up and then sat next to me.
I looked over to him with raised eyebrows as he slung one arm over my shoulder and placed his other hand on my knee.
"We have to make it seem real - remember, darling?" Dylan whispered in my ear.
His touch caused involuntary shivers to run through me and I nervously giggled in reply. Before we could say anything else we were scared by my phone ringing once more.
"That's more like it! You look like a convincing couple!" Calum exclaimed over the phone and I could hear Michael and Ashton talking in the background.
I rolled my eyes and scoffed in response
"What do you want now?" I questioned."Don't look now - but do you see that lamp post by the cinema?" Calum questioned and I looked over curiously.
"I said not to look!" He exclaimed.
"How am I supposed to know what lamp post you are talking about without searching for the one you explain" I replied and Dylan chuckled; obviously he was listening to our conversation.
"Just don't look again - wait a few minutes after the call. Anyway, Luke is leaning against the - mentioned - lamp post. He doesn't look to pleased, he was following you guys through the park" he explained.
"Oh, do you think it's working?" I asked.
"Dunno, ask Dylan" Calum finished and said goodbye.
A few moments passed of Dylan and I cuddling and acting like a couple and I risked a look over to the cinema.
Like Calum said, Luke was leaning against the lamp post with his sunglasses over his eyes and a black hoodie covering his hair. His posture was tense.
I looked away and nudged Dylan "in a minute look over at the cinema, Luke is there, see if the plan is working" I said and took a sip of my coffee.
"Okay, honey bunch" he replied and I rolled my eyes.
After a minute or so Dylan looked, not so subtly over at Luke.
"Well?" I urged.
"Because his sunglasses are covering his eyes I cannot tell for sure - but I think it may be working" he said and I smiled.
---
After many instructions from the boys, Dylan and I were finally allowed to go home after our 'fake date'.
As we turned the corner for the apartment building my phone rang in my pocket."Put Dylan on" Michael demanded - what's with him and not saying hello?
I passed the phone to Dylan and stood infront of him as he spoke to Michael. He muttered a few "yeah" and "okays" before hanging up.
"What did he want?" I questioned.
"He said that this is he date drop off point" he started "and he said that I have to kiss you to see in Luke reacts; their monitoring him now" he finished and looked at me expectantly.
"What? Did he really say that?" I questioned and he nodded cheekily in reply.
Surely he didn't, Michael did not like Dylan kissing me earlier and he certainly did not like the thought of Dylan and I together.
"You're over complicating this" Dylan said "lets just get it over with - it's part of the plan" he finished and took a step towards me.
"But wait, did Michael-" i Started to say but was cut off by him gabbing my waist, pulling me to his chest and connecting our lips.
