AFTER A FUNERAL WAS HELD FOR THEIR LOVED ONES, Ella washed Amy's blood off her hands and threw away her blood stained clothes. Now she was getting dressed in the tent she shared with her father.

She buttoned her pants up, listening to a tied up Jim ramble on and on about stupid things that was completely and utterly irrelevant to everyone.

Ella dropped down to her knees and unzipped a duffle bag in search for a clean pair of her fathers socks since she didn't have any socks at the moment. Her hand moved a few things around, before she found something she wished she hadn't found.

"Ella-"

Ella picked the condom up and held it up to her father, eyes wide. "Who are you fucking?" she bluntly questioned Shane.

His breath hitched, searching for an excuse that she'd buy. "No one. I have them in case-"

"I call bullshit." Ella interrupted and picked up the socks. "But I'll pretend I believe you." she slipped the socks on, then put her boots on.

"Uh, anyway, Rick's calling a meeting." Shane informed.

"Okay."

Ella stood up and followed her father out of their tent. She fixated her vision on everyone sitting in a circle of chairs around the campfire. It looked like they were in a conference room meeting.

Shane placed his foot on a log, glancing between everyone as Ella sat down beside Andrea. Rick stood by his family, a rifle gun in his hands. Ella glanced over at Carl and Sophia for a moment before her father spoke.

"I've been thinking about Rick's plan." Shane announced, he shifted his weight on one foot. Ella furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. She'd been so focused on Amy and her death that she hadn't even heard about Rick's plan. "Look, there are no, uh, there are no guarantees either way. I'll be the first to admit that," Shane paused.

Ella took Andrea's hand and gave her a smile, her thumb caressing the top of her palm. Andrea smiled at the brunette, a stinging pain bursting in her chest when she saw the friendship bracelet Amy made for Ella on Ella's wrist.

Shane continued. "I've known this man since we were kids. I trust his instincts," he made direct eye contact with his daughter, then with his best friend's wife, then with his best friends child, then finally with his best friend. "I say the most important thing is we need to stay together. So those of you that agree, we leave first thing tomorrow. Okay?"

Nobody said anything to object, they simply nodded. Ella took a deep breath. They were leaving their safe haven and going out into the danger zone.
