NIGHT HAD FELL. Ella was making her way up the guard tower to speak with Glenn. They had quite the day today with Hershel, and everyone was glad he was back, Ella she wanted to get away from Hershel. She was happy he was alive, but she felt like maybe it had been his time to go. She didn't like to think like that, but she did.

Ella opened the trap door and crawled through it. She saw Glenn staring at the sky, at the stars. She got on her feet, "Nice night to be out and about, huh?" she asked.

Glenn turned, surprised. "Y-yeah it is," he paused. "I was just thinking about you. I'm actually glad you're here right now."

"Well, that's sweet of you, Glenny."

Glenn rolled his eyes, his lips turning into a warm smile, his eyes full of brightness and happiness to see her. They went silent as they looked at the sky. It was so quiet and peaceful, no one was talking and no walkers were moaning. It was nice to be here with no one else, but themselves.

"Hey," Glenn turned to Ella, searching for something in his pocket. "I actually managed to find a chocolate bar. I snatched it before I came up here. I was going to give it to you before this lookout thing, but I just forgot about it before. . . now." he smiled.

Ella chuckled, taking the chocolate bar from his hands. She hadn't had one of these since before the apocalypse hit. She was craving one of these things for so long, and now Glenn actually got her one. She wondered if it was any good, if it was stale. That didn't matter, it would still be fantastic.

"Thank you so much!" Ella exclaimed, her arms wrapped around Glenn. She pulled away from him and unwrapped the candy bar. Her mouth was drooling as she placed it in her mouth. Ella moaned when the chocolate goodness melted on her tongue. "Oh, my God. This is so good."

Glenn grinned. "Yeah?"

"Yeah," she peeled the wrapper down. "Want some? I'll share with just you." she tilted her head with a smile, shoving the candy towards him.

"No-"

"Take some!"

"No, really, I'm fine."

"You know you want it." Ella sang, waving the candy bar in the air.

Glenn sighed. "Fine." he took the candy bar and took a bite into it. His eyes grew. "Wow."

"Right? Delicious." Ella glanced away to the ground where Glenn made a bed for himself. Ella noticed there was a stack of cards laying around. "Hey, wanna play 'Slap Jack'?"

Glenn looked at the cards. "I mean, sure why not."

"Cool."

They both sat down on the bed, across from each other. Ella dealt out the cards, then they placed cards down slapped the jacks the entirety of the night.
