ELLA FIXED THE bandage keeping her intact by moving it around in a circular motion. She sat on her wheelchair after Maggie helped her back on it so she could go to her cell to get something, she hadn't came back yet. It meant she just wanted time to herself until they went against the Governor, and maybe it was to give Ella her own time as well.

The Governor. . . what a jackass. Going against him as well? Dumb decision. She needed to bring Rick back from his psychotic episode and return him back to normal, but she couldn't even roll outside to get to him. If she walked, it would make a dent in her healing time and it would take even longer she betted. And the last thing she wanted was to be cooped up on a bed stretcher and strapped down to it to keep still.

So she was stuck on the wheelchair.

A baby cooing erupted her thoughts. Beth walked inside with Judith, a blanket wrapped around her. "I was going to ask Maggie this, but she and Glenn are talking about what happened with the Governor. I thought you could help even with. . . I just need to get her a bottle to feed her and something for my daddy to eat." she explained herself.

Ella's gaze softened at the nervousness of Beth. "Okay. I can do that. Let me see her." she opened her arms out wide. Beth silently slid Judith into Ella's arms. Ella stroked her cheek gently, hot tears springing to her eyes. Now was not the time to cry when everyone was on edge.

Beth grabbed Ella's arm, giving it a squeeze. This was honestly her way of getting a break and to let Ella have time with her little sister she would protect and care for in time. Beth left after she gave the small gesture. She tiptoed out of the cell, then down the stairs to find the baby stuff and other foods.

Judith looked so much like Shane and Lori. She had Shane's eyes, Lori's nose, her lips shaped like both, her skin golden like Shane's. A good mix between both. Ella could see it now. The baby so similar. . . made her so tense and saddened. She would never know her true parents.

Their laughs, their smiles, their jokes, their brightness, everything about them. . . gone. Judith wouldn't experience it. She would only hear stories, and pretend she knew them for who they were and what they stood for when she came of age. At a young age, she wouldn't quite understand, but she would understand a little bit to know Rick wasn't her father and her parents were deceased.

Goodnight, love. . . Ella would tell her that whenever she'd tuck her sister in tight at night wherever their home would be in the future. Catching frogs whenever she was bored, and calling her my baby girl whenever praising her, worrying for her and caring for her. Judith would experience what Ella did, what Carl did before the world went to shit a year ago.

Angled against the cell door frame was Glenn Rhee. Ella almost jumped when she saw his shadow. She turned her head up to him. There was a smile on his face. "You're great with kids, you know," he whispered to her. "I remember when you told me you wanted kids." he mentioned.

"I said I did once." she laughed.

He smiled. "Well, I hope you change your mind."

Ella raised her eyebrows and moved Judith around in her arms. "What do you mean by that? How does me having a baby affect you," she questioned. Then she remembered he was in love with her. He professed his love for her to Maggie when she thought he wanted to hook up. "You're in love with me. That's why, isn't it, Glenn?" she questioned him to see if he was still.

Glenn was rather surprised by her statement slipped into a question. He was taken back. He slowly pulled up a chair and sat down. "I am. But I know you're not. Dale told me you were and I believed it, but now with everything going on, I feel as if you don't anymore and you lost it for me. I believe I didn't make a move fast enough." he gripped the edge of his seat. He was nervous saying all of this.

Ella slipped her finger in the baby's hand for her to hold to not become bored and cry it out. "Glenn Rhee, I don't know yet. I do have feelings for you, I know that. I'm too awkward to show those feelings. It's. . . I-I don't know how to explain." she whispered to him.

"I know what you mean."

"I know you do," she paused. "I couldn't see myself with you until after the war with the Governor was over, or until we ran away to save ourselves from him. If we make it out alive, both of us, let's talk about this again. I don't want to fall in love in you." she whispered again.

Glenn nodded understandingly. He wasn't mad. Her answer wasn't what he expected, he thought she'd completely say no but now there was hope they could work out. "Okay. We'll talk after." he smiled.

With that, he left her.

Suddenly Beth walked inside the cell with a bottle full of formula for Judith. She had a look on her face like she heard everything but she wasn't going to say anything about it. It wasn't her business. Though she was curious if he was angry about it or not. Again, she wouldn't pry.

"I can take her from you," Beth announced, extending her arms to the baby. "I'll have Maggie feed her. Give you a break. Lets your ribs breathe." Ella nodded and gave the baby over. "Rest well."

And that, Ella would. Until the enemy came knocking on their door to kill everyone inside of the prison, child or not.
