Maddie Catch- part 3 - fitting in

Maddie POV

The gods hate me, the campers pretend to like me, Chiron has no idea what to do about me and above all that Zeus wants to kill me. What am I supposed to do? I have no clue avoid everyone maybe.

"Hey, Maddie" Percy yells. I wonder what he wants, I stopped and he caught up with me.

"I was wondering if you wanted yo join the big three kids in the arena since we only have five of us and there's only one of you, so do you? Oh don't worry I know what it like to have Zeus out to kill you" he said to me

"I'll love to but I thought you didn't like me because of my mom" I told him

"Well it doesn't matter about who your parents are it's all the same in my book and it's not that everyone doesn't like you, it just they're weary about you" he told me

"Thanks for inviting me I don't have anyone else to practice with" I told him

"Don't worry about it I know what it's like to not have anyone to train with and eat with" he told me

"Yeah only child of Poseidon" I said rolling my eyes and we walked to the arena talking about how life May or may not turn out for both of us.

After we practiced we were walking to the pavilion when Zeus flashed in great I'm going to die

"Lord Zeus" Chiron called "what brings you here?" he asked

"My wife's daughter" Zeus called. yep I'm going to die

"And what about her" Chiron asked scared of the answer

"She can live as the only daughter of Hera" he said. wait, what? I'm not going to die. wow I might like camp now

"She isn't" Chiron said

"Yes, Hera and I have worked out a deal and if Hera goes back on the deal she dies" he said. great this is what I need my life is depending on my mother. then Zeus flashed out and everyone cheered.

I think I'm gonna like camp now. I just hope camp will accept me.
