she falls asleep on your lap

She's been in and out of the studio for days on end. She's been doing countless interviews with the girls, doing rehearsals for appearances they were planning on making, and writing here and there. All of this has made her completely exhausted, understandably so considering she hasn't been sleeping much.

It's the first night this week that she's been home early and all she really wants to do is relax with you. Unfortunately, she's so exhausted she feels as though she can barely keep her eyes open. Your favorite show on Netflix was playing on the tv and Jade had her head in your lap. Your fingers kept running through her hair, twirling the strands around your fingertips. "If you keep doing that I'm gonna fall asleep." She mumbled, her eyes closing. she was trying so hard to fight the sleep that was quickly taking over, but she was quickly losing the fight.

"It's okay baby. You can go to sleep." You watched as she closed her eyes again, this time she didn't try to open them or even attempt to fight the exhaustion she felt. You watched her breathing even out, the steady rise and fall of her chest making you feel so relieved. She really needed to catch up on sleep.

You brushed your lips on her forehead. Her lips were parted slightly and she looked so angelic. "Sleep tight angel" you muttered against her forehead, pressing one more kiss to it before you shifted your attention back to the tv. You looked down at your lap to admire how peaceful and beautiful Jade looked. before you knew it, it was midnight and you were tired too. You were comfortable on the couch, so tired that you couldn't really move and you didn't want to wake Jade up either. You felt content knowing that Jade was asleep on your lap, in your arms, and with that you closed your eyes and allowed yourself to fall asleep too as your favorite show and the sound of Jade's steady breathing soothed you to sleep.
