she won't let go when you hug her

You walked inside the practice room where the girls were all rehearsing for the upcoming tour.

They were in the midst of practicing 'bounce back' so you just stood off to the side where they couldn't quite see you, just watching in amazement. Your gaze particularly landed on Jade. She looked so happy as she sang and danced, the smile on her face unbreakable.

When the song finished they tried to catch their breath and went to grab some water. Their backs were all turned and so you crept up behind Jade. You hugged her from behind and felt her jump then relax, a laugh falling from her lips.

"You scared me!" She laughed as she turned around. Your arms went around her sides and she pulled you against her tightly, kissing the side of your head. "What are you doing here?" She wondered, but there was no mistaking her happiness.

"I wanted to surprise you. My shift at work finished early and I wanted to come see my girl."

She smiled and leaned in to give you a kiss. "What do you think so far?"

"Absolutely perfect. Your vocals are so beautiful, baby."

She kissed you once more and then pulled back from the kiss. Your head dropped to her shoulder and you tried to pull away so you could go say hi to the other girls, but Jade had a good grip on you and it was clear she wasn't letting you go.

"Jade!" You giggled as you wriggled in her arms.

"Yes?"

You tilted your head up, catching the soft look in her eyes. You suddenly realized that you didn't want her to let go. You shook your head and leaned in to kiss her again, but Jade pulled away with her brows furrowed. "Did you want me to let you go?"

You moved one of your hands to rest on her cheek. "I did because I wanted to say hi to the girls. But now, I don't."

Jade kissed you again, sighing blissfully against your lips when you looped your arms around her neck.

But there was a familiar voice from behind you that nearly broke you away.

"Jade? Are you about ready to go back to rehearsing? Not to ruin your moment, I promise. It's just we have dance moves to practice and a lot of songs on the setlist to get around to."

Jade looked at Leigh-Anne then back at you with a sweet smile. "In a minute. I just want another minute."

The girls nodded and walked away a bit to give you both space. You figured Jade would kiss you again but she instead just held you tightly, her arms around your back as she buried her face in your neck, kissing your skin softly. "I love you."

"I love you too."
