Jade knew something was wrong the moment she saw your face.

They looked to be swimming with tears, shoulders obviously heavy as you sulked. "Oh, y/n. Come here," She opened her arms for you and you didn't hesitate to crawl into them and climb onto her lap.

You started to cry softly. Your face buried in Jade's neck as you sniffled, letting out your frustration and sadness that you've been bottling up since early this morning.

But your cries soon slowed down when you heard Jade's voice in your ear as she began to sing to you - something that always seemed to help you feel a bit better, even at your worst.

"'Cause nothing else matters like us, nothing else matters like love," She sang softly, her voice soothing in your ear as she sang nothing else matters to you. She knows it's one of your favorites and always makes you feel a little better, and as your cries turned to whimpers, she knew this time was no different.

"There we go, my love. You okay?"

"A little,"

Jade smiled to herself. You weren't crying anymore and that was at least a little better. "Wanna talk to me about it? About whatever is bothering you? You know I'm here to listen. I'm all ears whenever you wanna talk, no rush."

And for the first time all day, you smiled a little. Because that's how Jade has always been with you; always ready to listen with open ears and arms, but never hurrying you. She never judged you or rushed you into telling her what was on your mind. She just comforted you till you were ready.

And just like every time before, she brought you the utmost comfort. She rubbed your back and pressed kisses wherever she could; your shoulders, your hair, your temples. She left little reminders of just how much she loves you on your skin.

"I had a bad day. A really bad one. Remember my important presentation for work today? It got ruined. I don't know how but it did. All my hard work was just gone. And my boss got really upset with me. I got really overwhelmed and all I've wanted ever since I left this morning was to come back home to you."

She cracked a small but sad smile and leaned her head on yours. "Well, you're home now, yeah? I've got you now." She grabbed your chin and kissed you softly and you could feel your worries melting away.

"Let me make you feel better. We can cuddle and watch a movie tonight, maybe take a bath, just me and you. How's that sound?" You felt her hands move from your back to your shoulders, her fingers pressing into your skin to rub away all of your stress.

You threw your head back and let out a hum of appreciation. "Sounds amazing," You stopped when you felt her lips touch your neck. "You really are the best."

"I just wanna make you feel better. You deserve it." And with one peck to your jaw, she pulled back to look you in the eyes. "Are you hungry?" Her forehead touched yours, a smile appearing on her face when you nodded. "Let me make you your favorite for dinner."

She sat you down on the couch and stood up. You tried to do the same but she pushed you back down. "No, you stay. Just relax. Just let me take care of you tonight."

You watched her from the couch as she pulled all of the ingredients out to make your favorite food.

Your heart felt warm. You couldn't wipe the smile from your face. Your bad day at work was over and Jade was gonna make this evening much better. And watching her with a grin, hearing her sing to herself as she cooked you a sweet dinner, made you realize how lucky you truly were.

The universe could give you some bad days, as many as it wanted. But Jade was always gonna be there to make each and every single one of them better.
