You have a cold

You couldn't even move from the couch. The cold that's been plaguing your body for a couple of days now has robbed you of all your strength and energy. All you wanna do is sleep, but you keep sneezing or needing to cough and being able to find a comfortable position when you're hot one second and freezing the next makes sleep nearly impossible.

Jade put her hand on your forehead to see if your fever had gone down any, only to feel that it's only gone up. "You're burning up baby." She whispered and pushed some hair away from your forehead.

You started to shiver so she pulled the blanket up to your chin and tried to keep you as warm as possible. "Anything I can get you?" You shook your head and coughed, whimpering over the pain that followed. She kissed your forehead and went to the kitchen, figuring now would be a good time to make you some soup since your throat was hurting.

She waited for it to finish on the stove and she kept peeking around the corner every chance she got to make sure that you were okay. When it was done she poured it in a bowl and took it to you in the living room.

"Here, baby. I made you some soup." You coughed into your elbow and sat up. She made sure that you drank as much of the broth as you could since that would help your throat the most. "Can you please lay with me?" You asked when you finished eating. Your voice was hoarse and it hurt to speak but what you needed most was Jade to hold you close.

Jade laid behind you on the couch and made sure you were as warm as possible. She put her hands on your arms and rubbed them as you shivered. "It's okay. I'm right here." She promised, kissing your neck comfortingly.

"Warm enough?" You nodded, keeping your eyes closed. Your eyelids felt way too heavy to open. You felt Jade's lips brush gently across your warm cheek. "Go to sleep, honey. I'm right here if you need anything at all." You put your head against her shoulder and she dropped a few kisses to your head.

She softly sang your favorite song in your ear to bring you a little extra comfort as you fell asleep. She looked down at your sleeping figure and rubbed your back, hoping that you'd start to feel better soon.
