You get a puppy together

You heard the front door close and quickly ran down the stairs. Jade is finally home from rehearsals and all you wanna do is spend the rest of the night cuddling her.

"Jade!" You ran right into her arms and she let out a giggle. "Someone miss me today?" She teased and kissed your cheek.

You had a few words on the tip of your tongue that quickly disappeared when you noticed something moving in her jacket.

"Uh, Jade? What's that?" She opened her mouth but a whine interrupted her. You gasped and unzipped her jacket, squealing when you saw the puppy.

"I was on my way home when I saw a sign and I know you've been saying you've wanted to get a pet for a little while. I knew you'd love him as soon as I laid my eyes on him. Wanna keep him?"

You picked up the puppy and held him to your chest. He was small - really small. Clearly he had just been born a few weeks ago. You were in love with him.

"Yes! He's so cute!" You kissed his head and started to run your fingers along his fur. You looked up at your girlfriend and smiled at her. Carefully, you threw an arm around her and buried your face in the crook of her neck.

"This is the best day ever. I love him already, and I love you lots, too. Thank you!" You heard her giggle and felt her hand rub up and down your back.

"So? What should we name him?" She asked with a smile as you pulled away. This was only the beginning of your little family.
