You walked through the door and threw your bag on the couch. You've been on your feet all day and all you wanna do now is go to sleep.

You were dragging your feet up the stairs. You felt so exhausted that it felt like you could fall asleep right then and there, but you did your best to make it up to the bedroom.

Jade had just finished taking off her makeup and was coming out of the bathroom as soon as you entered the bedroom. The first thing she noticed was how tired you looked.

She wrapped you in her arms and gently rubbed your back. "Oh baby. Did you have a long day?" You nodded your head, way too tired to speak. She tugged on your hand and led you over to the bed.

"Is there anything I can get you, baby?" You shook your head. All you wanted to do was go to sleep. Jade laid down next to you and pulled you in her arms. "I'm sorry I'm not up to doing much. I'm just so tired." Jade shushed you softly. "Don't be sorry. It's okay. You can go to sleep, I'll be here to hold you the entire time."

You closed your eyes and tried to go to sleep. Jade had turned all the lights off and pulled the blanket up to your shoulders, but you still couldn't fall asleep. "Jade?" She hummed in your ear and kissed your cheek. "Can you play with my hair and sing me to sleep?"

Jade smiled and started playing with your hair. She twirled a few strands around her finger as she started to sing 'more than words' softly in your ear.

Always been there for me, now I'll do the same

She stopped singing when she knew you had fallen asleep. You looked so peaceful and calm and the sight made Jade's heart skip a beat.

She planted a few kisses to the crown of your head. "Goodnight, beautiful. I love you so much." She whispered as she ran her hand up and down your back and watched you sleep, hoping that tomorrow would be a much better day for you.
