Jade held your hand as you walked down the trail. It's so cold out that she can see her breath and the winter apparel just wasn't enough to keep her warm. But she loves your sense of adventure and she has a little surprise up her sleeve for a special gift for you this holiday season. To her, there's no better place to do it than in the snow, because you love it so much.

"Isn't it just beautiful? I love this time of the year!" Jade laughed at your excitement over the blanket of snow on the ground. "It is beautiful, but it's a little too cold for my liking." You laughed and let go of her hand to run down to the end of the path.

Jade reached into her back pocket and pulled out the small velvet box that held the engagement ring she had specially made for you. She tried to remember the speech she planned out, the one she would recite over and over again every chance she got, so she couldn't ruin the moment by forgetting it. With shaky hands she opened the box and pulled out the ring, but it slipped from her fingertips and into the snow.

She cursed under her breath and began to dig through the snow and even though she had her gloves on, it didn't stop her fingers from getting cold and she had to pull them back. "Fuck" she muttered as she tugged at her hair and looked at you with tears in her eyes. "Uh, y/n?" You turned around, smiling at her until you noticed that she was crying.

"Jade? Baby what happened? Are you hurt?" You ran over to her, ignoring the sound of the snow crunching underneath your feet. "No but... I had something really special planned for you today, but I think I messed it up." You chuckled nervously and reached for her hand. "Jade, don't worry. Whatever it is, whatever happened, we can fix it."

She pulled the now empty box from her pocket and gave you a look of disappointment. "Oh Jade..." "I'm sorry. I was gonna propose to you, but I lost the ring in the snow." She looked so sad, so upset with herself. You took her hand and smiled at her. "It's okay. We'll look for it together. But just so you know, my answer is yes."
