first "i love you"

You were laying in Jade's backyard while wrapped up in her arms. You didn't know what time it was, you lost track of it a long time ago, but you knew it was late since it was so dark outside.

Your head was on her lap, your eyes closed as she ran her fingers through your hair. You opened them to see that Jade was already staring at you. You both smiled at each other. She reached her hand down to grab yours and intertwine your fingers together. It was quiet, but it was comfortable and you swore you've never felt more content in your life.

You closed your eyes again, only opening them when Jade brushed her thumb along your cheek. "Hi" She grinned and you giggled, moving around so you could rest your head on her shoulder instead. She leaned her forehead on yours for a few seconds before pulling it back so she could press a light kiss to your forehead. She brushed her nose against yours, her breath fanning across your face.

"I love you." She said and right away, it felt as though your heart was doing laps in your chest. "I love you too Jade." You both smiled at each other, her fingers wrapping tightly around yours before she brought your hand up to her lips to press a few kisses to it. She mumbled those three little words against your knuckles a few more times. She'd never said it to you before but now that she has she never wanted to stop telling you.

She wanted to remind you of that every single day, just how much she loves you. Something in her changed that night. That love that she felt for you had always been there, but it grew even more and she knew, right then and there, that you were the one for her. "I love you so much y/n. I'm never gonna stop telling you that, ever." Jade smiled as she hooked her fingers on her left hand under your chin, her right one wrapped securely in yours. She brought your lips to hers and kissed you with pure love, absolute adoration, wanting you to feel just how much she loves you through every single kiss from then on.

"I love you so much Jade, I always will." You muttered against her lips before pulling away and resting your head back on her shoulder. Neither of you could wipe the grins from your faces. You were just so in love with each other.
