kissing in the rain

The sky was cloudy and grey but since Jade had a day off for the first time in a couple of weeks you decided to spend it outside. There was no rain in the forecast so you figured it'd be alright.

You just finished going for a walk through the park. Your hands were intertwined and Jade would swing them back and forth playfully from time to time. "I wish we had more days like this." Jade just flashed you a sad smile in return. "I know. Me too. Hopefully we can finish up the last of this new album soon and then we can have more days like this."

A clap of thunder startled you both. You looked at Jade with wide eyes, your smile long gone as a wave of fear washed over you. "Didn't it say no rain today?" Jade mumbled, tugging on your hand to get you moving again, hoping you could make it home before the rain started, but you wouldn't.

Raindrops started to fall rapidly making you shriek as it soon started to pour. "Oh gosh! Let's go home!" You spoke, a little louder than usual but you wanted to make sure she heard you over the sound of the rain hitting the pavement. Jade shook her head at you and you frowned.

"Jade it's pouring! We need to-" the feeling of her lips on yours cut you off, the words quickly disappearing from your mind as you melted into her. Her arms wrapped around your back, her fingertips running along your soaking wet shirt.

You've never had a kiss in the rain before and it was something you've always wanted to do. jade knew that and thought this was the perfect time for it, but then reality sank in and she started to worry about you getting sick. And as much as she didn't want to, she broke the kiss, because she cares about you more than anything and she didn't want you to be sick anytime soon.

"Jade? What-" "You're shivering baby. Let's get you home and out of these clothes." And although you wished the kiss would've lasted longer, way longer, you couldn't help but smile because you know just how much she loves and cares about you. "Okay, but just so you know - that's the most magical kiss i've ever had." Jade blushed and kissed you once again, she just couldn't help herself.

"I know. Same here, darlin'. Now c'mon, let's go home and change into some dry clothes and cuddle under the blankets for a while." She smiled and laced your fingers together again before you both walked home.
