she comes home to find you asleep

"Y/n?" She yelled out as she stepped inside the house, closing the door behind her. "I'm home!"

She was home and excited about it. She got away from the studio earlier than she imagined she'd be able to. She had so many ideas of what you could do tonight since it wasn't even six o'clock and there was still plenty of time left in the day.

The house was unusually quiet and still. She walked quietly, hearing her shoes on the floor with each step she took. She was ready to call out your name again when she came into the living room. But her gaze fell onto your sleeping figure, her question of where you could be now answered.

She saw the book on your chest. You were snoring a little, telling Jade that you were in a deep sleep. She went over to you and gently pried the book away from you. Your bookmark was on the coffee table in front of the couch so she grabbed it and bookmarked the page you had left off on.

She pressed a soft kiss against your forehead then reached for the blanket. She was about to cover you up when you opened your eyes. "Hey, sleepyhead." You giggled and rubbed your eyes. "You're home?" You looked at the clock. "You got off early today!"

Jade nodded happily. "That I did, my love. But you go ahead and go back to sleep. You look tired."     You grabbed her hand and laid a few kisses against it. "I am, but you are, too. C'mon, baby. Lay with me."

Jade couldn't say no to that. She grinned and laid beside you, pulling at the fluffy blanket till it was draped over the both of you. You rested your head on her chest, taking the opportunity to pepper kisses all over her collarbones and neck. A soft sigh fell from her lips, her eyes closed, and she cracked a tiny smile.

"Have I told you how much I love you?"

You couldn't help but giggle over her words. You moved to kiss her lips. "Every single day," and another on her chin. "But I love you too, my girl. I love you like crazy."

You shared one more kiss; a long one, a passionate one. One that had you laying your hand on her cheek and brushing your thumb across her cheekbones. "Let's take a nap together then we can order some dinner and watch movies till bed."

Jade's brown eyes were filled with love, for you. "Okay, as long as I can give you more kisses, too."

You nodded with a smile and then laid your head back on her chest, closing your eyes as her hand grabbed yours. "I love the sound of that. Sweet dreams, baby girl."
