4 days until Christmas....
— Lauren —
This morning is kind of exciting. Also, a bit abrasive as well because we have everything packed, except the gifts; those are the dilemma. We can fit everything in the trunk BUT the gifts. Ally purchased a bunch of them, not thinking about the limited amount of room in my backseat. Ally had LUGGAGE luggage. She had luggage that could last her a month and we were only staying a week in Texas.
We marked our initials on the ones we purchased—I decided to get a few gifts for her mom dad and brother as peace offering and a thank you for letting me spend the holidays with them and tried stuffing them in the backseat however, Ally wants to stretch out in the backseat and go to sleep.
Plus Dinah is riding with us—which means we have to be considerate I her luggage too. She going with us to the airport because although she lives in California, her family is spending Christmas in New York with her great aunt. With that, we don't really know how this is going to work.
"Ally I don't think you'll be able to stretch out, you may just have to wait until we get on the plane, baby."I told the sleepy Ally who was leaning lifelessly against Dinah.
"Why don't you just put the gifts in the front seat with you and Dinah," she whined.
"If we put all these gifts up there with us, I won't be able to drive." I told her and she whined some more.
"I ain't about to be holding all that." Dinah argues. "I'm going right back to sleep when I get in the car."
"Ugh fine," she groaned before getting in the car. Me and Dinah picked up the gifts and decided to put half in the back with Ally, and the rest up there in Dinah's lap. I found it a pretty good idea.
— time passes —
"I'm hungry," Ally whined from behind me as we came to a light.
"Ally, c'mon now. I thought I told you to grab something like a granola bar or something."
"Where would I find a granola bar?" She asked.
"You bought a whole pack of them the other day, babe." I reminded her. "I saw them in the pantry last night."
"Those are gone." She mumbled with a I'm not sorry type chuckle.
"What the hell do you mean they're gone?" I frowned as I pulled off again. Dinah was asleep in the passenger seat. "You mean to tell me you ate that whole pack of granola bars in one night?"
"Correction: a whole night and a day." She giggles.
"Allyson."
"Look, those were my favorites. You know that. I didn't eat before I went to bed last night so please don't come at me like that." Ally explained.
"Well you're just gonna have to wait until we get on the plane." I shrugged and she groans.
"You're being a real asshole right now," She growled.
"Listen, I've got one nerve left and you're standing right on it." I rolled my eyes. "Hush your mouth and go back to sleep."
— time passes —
When we made it on the plane, it was a toil. Our bags were hitting people, our suitcases were running over people's feet. It was just a lot going on.
