[Your POV]
"Ugh..." I groaned as I sat up, rubbing my head. I squinted in the sunlight. As I got to my knees, I tried making sense of my surroundings. I seemed to be on a path in a forest of some sorts. I looked around. It was just trees and the path I was standing on. There were a few bushes and some distant call of birds. I went to rub my arm, but instead knocked my knuckles on stone. I shook my head, eyes wide, as I looked down at my arm. I blinked. It looked like...the Sheikah Slate!? It seemed to be embedded into my arm. I tried ripping it away, but it just caused pain to shoot through my arm. "Dammit..."
I took one more look around and decided to go down the path. There seemed to be beehives, so I wasn't going to risk climbing a tree and disturbing one of the hives. I was still in my pajamas, so I was walking down the path barefoot, which I began to grow concerned about. Although the path seemed pretty clean of trash, there was still the occasional rock I would step on. Where even was I!?
I finally exited the forest, and gasped. This place...is so beautiful. The rolling hills, the mountains, the wildlife running through the fields. The sky too. It was all so beautiful. I had the sudden urge to run through the field, but the more I stared, the better I understood one thing. There didn't seem to be any homes and the path through the forest seemed to be the only sign of civilization. I gave a sigh and continued, my feet aching from all the walking.
The path seemed to continue between mountains and through streams. To make matters even more uncomfortable, it began raining. I gave a sigh as my stomach rumbled. I looked around, hoping to find something edible. My eyes landed on a berry bush sitting underneath a tree on a small hill surrounded by water. Before popping one in my mouth, I examined the berry. From the looks at it, it seemed to be a raspberry. I ended up eating an entire handful of the berries when I looked up. Was that...a bridge? Not too far away was a bridge. There seemed to be a strange creature guarding the bridge.
"Is that a...bokoblin!?" I whisper yelled. Wait! I might be wrong! It just...might be a person! The rain was really starting to pour down, so it became hard to really see things clearly. Besides, there's NO WAY that's a bokoblin! They only exist in the game! Zelda: Breath of the Wild! I had a flashback to when my Switch had begun glowing and hand sucking me in... Was I really inside a video game?
Somehow, the idea didn't freak me out too much. The idea of being somewhere far away from mom, dad, and Gabe...it seemed like heaven. I will miss Victor, Clarista, and Piripi though... Wait, what am I even thinking!? Of course I need to go back! ...Or do I?
At that moment, there was the sudden sounds of splashing. Wait, if this IS the game, then that means... I quickly picked up a branch sitting on the ground next to the berry bush and turned to face the creature. What I saw made my heart jump out of my chest. "A g...a guardian!" I cried. But...wait, it wasn't glowing pinkish purple, like when they're corrupted...
However, the moment its eye landed on me, it suddenly started shaking violently. It was a couple yards away from me. One second it was glowing blue, then purple... My breath hitched and I looked back at the bridge. That bridge probably leads to the Zora Domain! I mean, not immediately, but eventually, I could get there! The guardian might not be able to follow me! I didn't turn my back on the guardian as it continued to shake. As I inched backwards into the shallow water towards the bridge, the guardian finally decided on a color. Pinkish purple...
"Shit." I muttered as I heard the intense piano solo playing. I didn't even know if I was hearing that in my head or in real life. Without caring anymore, I bolted through the water. "Ugh!" I cried. "I didn't know running through water would be so damn hard!" I looked back to see the laser firing up. "N-No!" The beam shot from its eye and I jumped to the right, dodging it. I stood back up, not caring that I was pretty much soaking wet. "Help!" I yelled, hoping someone would hear me. But no one seemed to be around other then the bokoblin. Speaking of it, the bokoblin faced my direction. It made a squealing noise and suddenly ran off. Was it scared of the guardian? Probably. It had no reason to be afraid of me, seeing as I only had a stick for a weapon. I looked down at my stick. Pretty much useless!
The guardian was chasing after me. A stalker. I had finally made my way to the wooden bridge. I was just about to the other side when the guardian smacked me to the ground, pinning me with its claws. The tips dug into my shoulders, causing blood to soak through my pajamas. "AGH!" I cried as my stick flew from my hands. The guardian's laser was pointed at me. Was this it? Was this really how I was destined to die?
Apparently not!
From out of nowhere, an arrow shot into through guardian's eye, exploding. A bomb arrow!? My hero was a blur, knocking the guardian onto its side and taking off its leg, leaving my arm impaled. My eyes widened as another leg reached up. "Look out!" I shouted, pointing to the leg. But it was too late. The leg slashed at him, knocking him down behind the guardian. "No!" I got up and looked for my stick. I found it not too far from me, just in the shallow water by the bridge. I ran and snatched it up. The guardian was facing the person who saved me, so I had the perfect opportunity. I jumped up and clung to the guardian. I made my way towards the front, held my stick above my head and jabbed it straight into its eye. The guardian began shaking violently again, sounds of it struggling filled the air. I hopped off, landing on my side in the water as the guardian began glowing, then exploding in a blue and pink light. I closed my eyes. When I opened them again, there was nothing but some screws and junk.
I looked over to the unconscious heap that had saved my life. "Hey!" I said, rushing to them. "Thank you! You saved my..." I stopped myself when I saw their body was covered in...feathers? Dark blueish grey feathers, white at the tips. Red markings on his cheeks and white markings on his face. A long beak protruded from its head. I got down on my knees next to the Rito. I couldn't help but be curious, so I ran my fingers through his feathers. They're so soft... "Revali...?"
