[Your POV]

Revali and I stood outside Hyrule Castle, watching the sun rise. "Did you just give me a tour of the castle all night?" I asked.

"Yes." Revali said proudly. "Aren't I a trooper?"

"Didn't you ever get tired?" I asked.

"Didn't YOU ever get tired?" He shot back. It was true. I was filled with so much excitement about being in THE Hyrule Castle, I hadn't felt tired at all. I smiled up at Revali, who was watching the sunrise proudly. "Well, are you tired now?"

"No." I said, jogging in place. "In fact, I feel SUPER energetic now!" Revali shook his head and rolled his eyes. "So, where to now? We still haven't gotten word from the king, even after a whole night!"

"True." Revali said. "You know, I was thinking-"

"Champion Revali. (Y/N) (L/N)." A guard said, approaching us from behind. "I apologize for interrupting your conversation, but the king requires your presence." He bowed to the two of us. Revali and I looked at each other for a moment, then followed the guard back into the castle.

~~~~~
We came to a large room. I assumed it was a throne room, because the king was sitting on his throne, but the room seemed so...huge! Like you could have a royal ball or something like that! I suddenly welt a wave of anxiety as my eyes landed on the king. I turned to speak to Zelda, but then I realized she wasn't here. Why wasn't she here in the throne room with us!? I turned to Revali, but I was too nervous to say anything.
Revali leaned down and whispered: "Just relax. I will do as much talking as I can, but it will be you who will have to answer some of His Majesty's questions." He eyed the Sheikah Slate attached to my arm. I stood up straight, my hands behind my back. If I was to meet the king, I should at least make a good impression!
The guard stopped in the middle of the room, bowing to the king, and leaving. Revali and I stood side by side, silent. "Greetings, Your Majesty." Revali said, leaning over and bowing. I copied Revali, still too scared to speak. When we stood back up, the king's eyes were on me.
"Greetings, Champion Revali." He said, standing up, turning to me. "They tell me your name is (Y/N) (L/N)." I nodded, my face heating up in embarrassment. He let out a smile. "My daughter, Princess Zelda, and the knight, Link, speak very highly of you." I smiled at those words. Thank you, Zelda and Link! "Now, tell me your story." He began walking down the stairs leading to his throne, towards us.
I flashed back to King Dorephan asking me the same question. Are all rulers going to ask me that? "Tell me your story." King Dorephan had asked. I took a deep breath and retold my story, exactly how I had told King Dorephan, adding the parts after Zora Domain. After I was done, I gave a huge exhale, almost hunching over. But I managed to keep my composure in front of the King of Hyrule. I looked over at Revali, whose eyes had softened once again. He always seemed to show kindness with no words at all.
"Hmm." The king hummed as he stood before the two of us. "I guess I can somewhat understand your situation."
My eyes shot up into the king's. "You really think so?" I asked.
"You seem to have come from a very abusive family." He said. "I can understand why that would make you want to stay here and not go back to the place you were raised. Your choice is acceptable. King Dorephan has said you are to stay in the Rito Village with Champion Revali, correct?"
"Yes, sir." I said, nodding.
"Just King Rhoam is fine, (Y/N)." He said. I nodded again. "You and Champion Revali are welcome to spend another night here. Today I will need you to come with me." King Rhoam gestured for Revali and I to follow him, so follow we did.
We exited the throne room and walked through a few corridors when we finally stopped at a large double door. Inside was a team of Hylians working over a table. "Your Majesty!" One said. "What brings you here?" The whole team turned and bowed. Then they all proceeded to stare at me. "That's not a Hylian." Some whispered to each other. The anxiety returned to my chest.
"I am here to show you this." King Rhoam asked me to turn, and I did, showing the Sheikah Slate. Many of the workers gasped at the sight of it, and I can tell they grew eager. "I was hoping you could...explain it."
One worker stepped forward and offered her hand. "Hello. My name is Ifa." She said. I shook her hand and introduced myself. She bowed to Revali and then led the two of us to the table they were working at. I explained the Sheikah Slate situation and the malfunctioning guardian. "This is quite strange. We have been making good progress with the guardians and we discovered this not too long ago..." Ifa walked to the other side of the room, picked something up, and put it on the table Revali, the other workers, and I surrounded. It was...a Sheikah Slate! "Do you mind if I have a look at yours?" I nodded and Ifa began examining it. It turned on, opening some sort of map. "W-Wow!"
"What? What happened?" I asked.
"It has so many more functions then the one we already have!" Ifa said, picking up the Sheikah Slate. "Ours won't even turn on!" Ifa went back to examine mine, but pulled a little too hard on the slate, causing me to wince. But I didn't dare say anything.
"Hey, Ifa?" Revali said. Ifa looked up at him. "Be careful with the Sheikah Slate. It's attached to them, so if you pull it, it will probably hurt (Y/N)."
"O-Oh! I'm sorry!" Ifa said, her face going red. "Did I harm you, (Y/N)?"
"You're all good, Ifa." I said. She nodded and continued going through the Sheikah Slate, suppressing her excitement. I looked at Revali, mouthing 'Thank you'. He just smirked at me, like it was no big deal.
After a few more examinations on the Sheikah Slate, we were told we were fine to leave. By then, King Rhoam had returned to his kingly duties, so once again, it was just me and Revali. "So, what do you wanna do now?" I asked him.
"Well, since we were up all night and yesterday, I think we should go sleep and regain our energy for tomorrow, when we leave for Rito Village." Revali said. "I'm sure the princess would want you to spend the night with her, but I can't be bothered to walk all the way up to her room."
"So...where am I going to sleep tonight?" I asked.
"With me, in my Special Champion Quarters." He said, a sly grin growing on his face as my jaw dropped.
