[Your POV]

After putting on the new clothes, walking around Goron City was much easier. Revali said he had some duties to attend to with Daruk, so I was alone in the hot city. My mind wandered to what Revali and Daruk had said about an hour ago. Sharing a bed with Revali... I suddenly hot a warm feeling in my heart, but I was sure it wasn't because of the heat. As I zoned out in the distance, that's when I noticed him. Little Munlo, hiding behind some rocks, watching me. "Hey! Munlo!" I said, jogging up to him, careful not to bump into any gorons.

The little goron's eyes widened as I made my way towards him.

"Hey Munlo!" I said with a smile as I stood at his side. He just looked up at me with a blank face. "You don't talk too much, huh?" He nodded. I was about to ask him 'why' but then I slapped myself at my own stupidity. "So, is there anything you wanna do? Revali ditched me to go attend to some duties."

Munlo nodded and took my hand in his huge one. I had to bend over so he could hold my hand, but I was fine with it. He led me through a pathway going up the mountain. I recognized this path... This path led to Vah Rudania! The Divine Beast Daruk piloted! But this time, the area was clear, lacking any boulders and flying guardians. Munlo stopped me at about the halfway point and pointed to something scratched on the mountain. It was very small and very faint, but I could still make it out.

My heart skipped a beat as I red over the two letters...Revali...and the first letter of my name...  "This has to mean something!" I cried. Munlo just nodded and smiled, taking my hand again. As the little goron boy led me to, what I was hoping for, Vah Rudania, I couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu. I imagined Yunobo following me up Death Mountain, desperate to free the spirit of his ancestor, Daruk. I squeezed Munlo's hand.

He soon halted, gesturing me to do the same. I stopped in my tracks. I looked around. Because there were no monsters or flying guardians, the hike up Death Mountain had been fairly quick. Munlo moved against a wall, making me flatten myself against it as well. There were two voices coming from around the corner. Daruk and Revali.

"You know, Revali, these new things Munlo picked up from the Kingdom of Hyrule are really good! Except for when they get real mushy." Daruk said. Munlo and I peeked around the corner to see him holding something resembling a marshmallow.

"Too sweet for my liking." Revali said with a shake of his head.

"Ah, c'mon! You love sweets!" Daruk said.

"No, I don't."

"Obviously you do if you're hanging around (Y/N)~" Daruk taunted. I could somehow see the blush from underneath Revali's feathers.

"How long are you going to keep bugging me about this? It's quite irritating." Revali said. "Anyways, how is Rudania doing?"

"Oh, Rudania's doin' just fine!" Daruk said. "How's (Y/N)?"

"Well, they're as great as ever-" Revali started, but he cut himself off. "Dammit."

"So you admit it?" Daruk asked.

"N-No!" Revali said. "I just answered your question! You asked how they were doing and I think I answered appropriately!" Daruk raised an eyebrow, making Revali scoff and look away.

"You know, it's okay to show some vulnerability every once in a while." Daruk said, the banter in his voice leaving. "It doesn't make you weak. In fact, it makes you stronger."

"Now that's a lie!" Revali said. "Vulnerability is a sign of weakness! I can't let my guard down! Not even around-" Once again, he stopped himself. "...Especially around (Y/N)..."

"Because you love them." Daruk said. Revali was silent. "I can see it. The two of you seem like a perfect pair. You're scared of showing weakness around (Y/N) because you wish to impress them. You want them to like you back."

"...NO!" Revali suddenly burst out, causing both Munlo and I to flinch. This...isn't the Revali I know. He seemed so...upset. "I do not love (Y/N)! I never will! Why!? Because LOVE is a sign of weakness! I can never love them! NEVER!" Tears pricked my eyes, but not because of his words. He was completely out of composure. He also had tears in his eyes. His feathers were sticking up in awkward angles. His fingers massaged his temples. He was stressed. He was upset. But the worst part was that he was still trying to stay strong. Trying to keep his back straight, his head high. But all I could see were the tears staining his feathery cheeks. Revali was broken.

"Bully!" A high-pitched voice rang through the mountain, making Daruk, Revali, and I freeze. The noise had come from little Munlo himself, blowing our cover. "Bully!" He pointed to Revali as the rito stared at us blankly. The cat was out of the bag. There was no hiding anymore. As Munlo and I revealed ourselves, I could feel Revali's heart breaking from two meters away from him. His eyes widened and he let out a small gasp, muttering to himself as he hid his face in his hands. He was guilty. That much was obvious.

"Munlo." Daruk said, his voice much more serious than usual. It even had me scared. "Come with me." Daruk gave me a nod before leading his son away. I looked up to see Vah Rudania standing on the side of the mountain. It was just Revali, me, and a pile of half-melted marshmallows. I couldn't help but feel awkward. That message on the wall...then this...what did it all mean? It seemed more crytic then a teenage girl.

"So, uh...I hear you don't like these." I said, walking over to the boulder holding about five half-melted marshmallows that looked like they were stacked into a pyramid. Revali was silent, leaning against the mountain. Not knowing what else to do, I leaned against Death Mountain with him. "...Do you wanna talk?"

"Yes...but I can't." He said quietly.

"It's just the two of us." I said.

"I know."

"...Revali..." I started. "...You are not...weak." He gave me a side glance. "In fact, I think you're very strong. Hell, you could prance around the rito village in a pink tutu and probably still be loved by all."

"I am not loved, (Y/N)..." Revali said.

"...Don't say that." I said, tearing up, my voice quivering. "That's a lie. You are loved."

"And what makes you say that?" He asked.

"Because I'm here."
