[Your POV]
The outfit Zelda had given me was surprisingly comfy. I was never expecting them to be so nice, but they were! I exited the dressing room to find the guard that had escorted me there. "The Champions, the Princess, and the Warrior have gone to the throne room to meet with the king." They said.
"Oh yeah!" I said. I hadn't even gone to meet the king! Did that mean that I had technically broken into Zora Domain? I hope not. "Should I have met with the king when I came here?"
The zora guard could sense my panic and gave me a reassuring smile. "Do not worry. Champion Revali took care of it. You do not need to be worried about intruding." They said. I gave a sigh of relief.
The zora guard escorted me to the throne room. Up a fair amount of stairs, we were able to make our way to the throne room. As I walked into the room, I felt a heavy amount of power fall on me. Not making me feel powerful or anything like that, but more that everyone in the room had more power than me. I mean, of course they do. I took a deep breath, looking around, not sure where to stand. I eventually decided on standing next to Revali.
The champions, Zelda, and Link were standing in a semicircle in front of the king of Zora Domain. King Dorephan. I was about to bow, but Revali elbowed me in the side, stopping me. I shot him a glare and he just smirked. But our faces became serious when the last champion entered the throne.
"I apologize for being late, Your Highness." Urbosa said, bowing to both Zelda and King Dorephan. Zelda smiled while Dorephan nodded. Urbosa stood her place next to me. "So you're the human." Her voice was so silky, I thought I was under some spell. But instead I blurted out:
"Holy crap, you're tall as hell!" I said, looking up, bending back. She towered over me and a grin spread across her face and she erupted into laughter. Zelda giggled and the other champions cracked their smiles. Except Revali, who just watched with a straight face. King Dorephan let out a belly laugh.
"Oh! Well, it's good to know that your arrival will not lead to dullness!" Urbosa said, wiping a tear from her eye. She looked over to Revali. "Oh, stop sulking, big bird."
"I'm not sulking." Revali muttered. "We are in the presence of a king, and I am acting composed like the rest of you should."
"Aw! Is it because they like me more?" Urbosa said, leaning down and ruffling my hair. My face blushed bright red. "Oh yeah. What is your name anyway?"
"(Y-Y/N)." I said, smiling up at her.
"Well, (Y-Y/N)," She stuttered on purpose. "It's nice to meet you. Don't let Revali get to you. He can just be a bit of a prick sometimes."
"I am NOT a prick!" Revali said. "I just don't get the respect I deserve. Especially from..." His eyes landed on Link, who was holding in a laugh. "...from you lot." His eyes glazed over the rest of the champions, eventually landing on me. We locked eyes for moment, but then looked away.
"Suuure." Urbosa said, straightening herself up. "Anyway, why is it you have summoned us, King Dorephan? And why is it that the princess makes it seem so much more urgent as of late." The king sat up and we, the champions and Zelda and Link and I, stood up straight, awaiting what he would say.
"As I am sure, Princess Zelda has informed you all on the malfunctioning guardian. I am not sure of the mechanics behind that. That is something I feel that your father would know more about." King Dorephan said, turning to Zelda. She nodded. "As for the human, (Y/N)..." He turned to me and I stood so straight, I thought I would snap. "I would like to hear your story."
"My...story?" I said.
"Yes. It is quite obvious that are not familiar with Hyrule." He said with a chuckle. "What with the way you interact with Lady Urbosa and Sir Revali. You are not from here, I take it. I would like to know your story."
My story... I looked at everyone in the room, who stared at me, anticipating my answer. Even the guards stationed outside the entrance were leaning their heads in to hear. My story... "Well. You're right. I'm not from Hyrule, but I am familiar with it. It's just that, where I come from, it's a lot different from this place. In fact, it's the opposite of this place. We don't really have Kings and Princesses and guardians and monsters. To us...those are considered fairy tales."
I couldn't bring myself to say they were from a video game, but I technically wasn't lying when I said this place was like a fairy tale. Also, they probably don't know what a video game is. "And what about that thing on your arm?" Zelda asked, gesturing towards it. I looked down at my arm. I had become so used to the Sheikah Slate being a part of me, that I almost forgot it was there. It was like I only paid attention to it when it was causing me pain or I desperately needed it.
"Okay. So, when I came here, I wasn't expecting to be pulled here. It was like...some force took me from my home and dragged me here. I can't really explain it, since it was very sudden, and I'm sorry about that." I said, looking down, a frown passing over my face.
"It is fine that you do not recall everything. You were taken from your home unexpectedly, it is justified. But if you acquire any knowledge that may fall under the category of that, please share." The king said.
"It was like I was teleported here, to sum it up." I said. "I landed in a forest, probably not a long ways from here, and ran into Revali who saved me from the out of control guardian."
"Well, we all know that." Daruk said. "Revali filled us in while you were getting dressed."
"I didn't know all of that." Urbosa said.
"Well, now you do." Revali said. "(Y/N), I don't think King Dorephan wants to hear our story." He paused, his eyes gazing at me. "He wants to know your story. Who were you before you came to Hyrule?"
"Oh..." I said, fiddling with my hands. My story. Not ours. "Well...uh...where do you want me to start?"
"As far back as you can remember." The king said. I gave an exhale in nervousness.
"Well...I grew up in a really strict household. My parents always expected the best of me and nothing else. Ever since I was young, I was pressured into having good grades, good friends, and live a successful life. I had no friends, really. I mean, I had three best friends, but...I never knew them in real life." I said.
"You never knew them 'in real life'?" Link asked. Oh yeah. They don't have technology.
"I would write them letters." Was the best cover up I had. "But the biggest thing they wanted was that I had a successful love life." I said. I suddenly had everyone's full attention. Revali was staring at me intensely. "Ever since I turned sixteen, they were constantly introducing knew men to me, hoping I would marry them." I looked to the ground. "I never really had much freedom in terms of myself. I could do what I want, but that would only last so long. I was never able to make any true decisions for myself. My mother and father were always working behind the scenes to try and make me the perfect child they knew I couldn't be."
"I'm so sorry, (Y/N)." Mipha said in a sad tone. I just smiled reassuringly at her.
"But then, one day, they met this man. His name was Gabe and they were certain this was going to be the man for me. He acted like a gentleman, the perfect guy, but only in front of my parents. When it came to me, he was inconsiderate, rude, abusive and..." I struggled to find the words as the rage filled up inside me. "...a bully." It seemed like such a childish word, but it was the right word. "I don't actually know how many days or hours I was unconscious, but not too long ago, I turned eighteen. On that day, Gabe proposed to me and I rejected him. Then I'm suddenly teleported here. A place that's hopefully far away from them. I can't go back home. I want to stay here..." I looked up at the faces of everyone in the room. "...Please let me stay."
