[Your POV]
"The festival starts with dancing, games, and socializing and ends with a huge feast." Revali said, my arm still around his. "The games are usually more for the little ones, so while that's going on, a band from the town of the chosen host will play their music."
"That sounds fun." I said, looking around at the crowd.
"They're opening with games." Revali said. "The champions and royalty usually sit over there." He pointed to a massive round table with a ton of chairs circling it. "And their plus ones. Would you like to have a seat~?"
"Yes please!" I said with a huge smile on my face. Could you technically count this as a date? No, because our friends were here. But Revali was being such a gentleman and didn't stiffen up his body when I hugged him! I let go of his arm and he pulled out my seat for me, right next to Sidon.
"I hope you don't mind sitting next to a child." Revali said.
"It's okay!" Mipha intervened. "Sidon, would you like to go and play the games?"
"Yes!" Sidon squealed, jumping off his seat and running over to Munlo. "Can Munlo come too?"
"Of course he can!" Daruk said. "Go ahead, Munlo!" Munlo smiled eagerly and jumped off his seat, joining Sidon and the other kids in the games being held by the mothers of the Rito Village. "Munlo doesn't really have a lot of friends in Goron City, so this'll probably be good for him."
"It will also be good for Sidon." Mipha said. "I'm one of his only friends in Zora Domain, but he loves interacting with other kids if he can." I smiled, looking over at Munlo and Sidon, who looked like they were playing some kind of 'get the beanbag in the cup' sort of game. It reminded me of my days of kindergarten, when I thought I had no worries in life. When I thought I was going to become an astronaut/cook/vet sorta thing all mixed into one. But here I am now, in Hyrule, wanting to ask some cocky bird on a date. Honestly...this life's better in my opinion.
The champions began to talk amongst themselves while the games were starting. I felt...awkward for some reason, even though I was friends with everyone sitting at the table. I was about to turn to Revali when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see Link taking the seat where Sidon had been sitting. "Hey." He said.
"Hi." I said. "So, um, what's up?" Revali was in deep conversation with Urbosa and Lady Rosut, so I decided that I might as well talk to Link.
"Not much. How about you?" Link asked.
"Oh, um, I guess not too much either." I said awkwardly. I had never really been to a fancy sort of event before, so that's probably why I stood out. I remember wanting to go to school dances, but kids always bullied me and my parents always pressured me to go out with some boy who I never cared about. I always ended up sneaking out of the dance and running right back home to play Minecraft with Victor, Clarista, and Piripi. I wonder what they're up to now... Have they forgotten about me? Were they worried sick? Did they even know I was gone?
"Hey, (Y/N), you okay?" Link asked, shaking my shoulder gently. "You've seen kinda dazed for a while now. Is something on your mind?"
"No, nothing's on my mind." I said. "Well, yeah, but...I'm not really sure how to handle it..."
"You can talk to me if you like." Link offered.
"T-Thanks, Link..." I said. He turned around and started talking to Mipha. I gave a sigh. I haven't really thought about those three. I miss them, but...I want to stay here. I'm just some friend they met online. They've probably forgotten I'd existed. It made me kinda sad...no, really sad. They were my only friends. The thought of forgetting them myself...I couldn't even imagine... I guess with all the crazy stuff that's been happening recently, I've never really thought about how they would feel about the whole situation.
