[Your POV]
Wait! Fight the Lynel!? But I don't have any weapons! Are the Yiga Clan just that happy to watch me suffer and die!? The two foot soldiers released the chain that was restricting the Lynel. As soon as they ran off, the Lynel came barrelling towards me, eye bright purple, ready to kill. What do I do!? I don't have a sword, or a shield, and the Sheikah Slate's damaged from that asshole Ubel! The best thing I could do was dodge! At least until help arrived...hopefully...
As the Lynel's axe came swinging towards me, I jumped out of the way and the axe got stuck in the ground. That could be it! The Lynel was so set on killing me, it was incredibly violent! Meaning its swings came down harder then usual, getting in things, like those trees and the ground! With this new sorta plan thing, I felt a little bit of confidence run through my body. Not enough to make me think I could win...but I believed I could survive.
I didn't take long for the Lynel to free himself, but I took that time to scan the room for any of weapon, at least to use as defence. I spotted a wooden shield lying against the wall. I ran towards it. I guess that fight inside Vah Naboris really helped my legs. Or maybe it's a fight or flight instinct? It's easier to run out in wide open spaces, not in a forest clustered with trees. I should probably work on that...
As soon as I reached the shield, the Lynel let out an ear splitting roar, almost knocking me to the ground. It wasn't as bad as the Hinox, but it was enough to make my ears ring. I gripped the shield so hard, I swear I put a dent in that thing. When it stopped roaring, my legs were shaking, but I refused to fall to ground. Sweat dripped down my forehead as I held the shield at the ready. The Lynel ran towards me again, swinging the axe high above its head. That axe would completely obliterate this shield! "Let's take it up a notch, shall we!?" Master Kohga boomed, making the crowd go wild again. I looked around to see holes in the ground. My eyes widened as a light began spilling out of it, turning into walls of flames, keeping the Lynel and I in a tight circle.
The Lynel charged at me and I was, once again, able to dodge. "This is boring!" Some of the Yiga Clan shouted from the crowd. I frowned, looking up at the crowd. I couldn't see their faces, but I could tell they were disappointed with me being alive and all. I gave a sigh as I looked back, seeing the Lynel's axe stuck in the ground again. I found Hute in the crowd...who looked to be minding his own business. Then I noticed he was holding his blade, dangling it over the arena, ready to drop it. But he wasn't making it obvious to the point where other would call him out.
His fingers released his blade and it dropped to the bottom of the arena, just for me. "Oops! I dropped my blade! That, uh, sucks!" Hute said, trying to play it off as an accident. I smiled, but frowned when I realized I had to run through a wall of fire. I looked back at the Lynel, who was still stuck. It must've swung down at the ground hard. I took a deep breath and looked down at my shield. Maybe you could be good for something...
The idea formed in my head without me really trying. It just seemed like the only thing I could do. I took a few steps back, getting a running start. I ran towards the wall of fire, holding my wooden shield in front of me. I thought about what Daruk taught me about jumping. This wasn't over boiling lava, and there were no poles for me to grab onto, but still. As I got closer and closer to the wall of fire, I got ready to position my shield. As I was about to run into it, I jumped, keeping my legs close to my chest. I held the shield underneath me, only burning my fingers.
I rolled onto the ground, but I was able to quickly get back on my feet and run towards the blade. I picked it up, not taking in how big the damn blade was. But I didn't care. The only thing keeping me going was the pure adrenaline and...Revali. I needed to get back to Revali. I thought about what he asked me that day on Vah Medoh...
