[Your POV]

I opened my eyes to see the Rito Village come into view. It was so...beautiful! "Revali-" I started.

"Shh!" He said. "You must rest!"

"Revali, I'm all fine now." I said. "Besides, I wanna see Rito Village! There's no way I can relax and rest right now!" I stood up straight as Ares walked across the bridge leading to the Rito Village. Two Rito soldiers appeared, taking the reins to Ares as Revali and I hopped off.

"Champion Revali." One bowed. "The Elder is waiting for you and your guest."

"Thank you." Revali said, nodding his head as they took Ares away. Revali and I started up the steps, to the Village Elder. I grew somewhat nervous as we became surrounded with Rito. It felt like I was really out of place. Some Rito stared at me, some seeming curious, suspicious, and other unreadable emotions. I stood closer to Revali, my shoulder brushing against his feathers. "Where did that excitement go?" He asked, flashing an amused smirk.

"I honestly don't know." I said, looking forward. "I feel so...I feel like I'm sticking out."

"Don't worry. You will get used to it, since you will be living here, under my wing." He reminded me. "We are almost there." I recognized the hut/nest-like structure that was where the Rito Elder stayed. I blinked as I looked inside. The Rito Elder...was not the one from the game. He wasn't Rito Elder Kaneli. However the Rito did bear a resemblance to him. So...that means that this was possibly a descendent of the Village Elder. "Elder Ulli." Revali said, bowing. I bowed as well.

"Hello, Champion Revali. It is nice to see you have come back in one piece. The scouts tell me you came across a Yiga Clan Soldier."

"Yes." Revali said. "I was able to take care of him, though." Elder Ulli nodded then looked down at me.

"And you must be (Y/N)." Elder Ulli said. His voice was old and creaky. "Hyrule speaks very highly of you." He gave a chuckle, which turned into a cough. I nodded, concern flashing over my face. He stopped coughing after several seconds. "Excuse me, I am ill at the moment. By all means, make yourself at home, as it is now, in fact, your home. The place you will be staying is up a couple more flights of steps." He gave another chuckle, being thrown into a coughing fit.

Revali quickly made us exit the nest. "The Village Elder has been on his deathbed for quite some time now." Revali said sadly. "I fear he will pass soon, but no one dares speaks of it."

"He seems nice." I said as we continued up the flights of stairs. Wait...flights of stairs. Hyrule speaking highly of me. "Do you think he intended those puns?"

"Probably." Revali said with a smile. "To make you feel more accepted and comfortable." I couldn't help but smile at the Elder's kindness.

"Here we are." Revali said as we stopped outside a nest/hut. "Rito homes usually aren't too big, but I'm sure you can live with it, because I don't wanna hear any complaining." The house didn't have a front door, but instead a beautifully carved doorway. The walls were higher, allowing me some privacy. All the furniture, the bed, the small table and two chairs, the dresser, was carved with intricate and lovely patterns that you would only see in movies. I felt the pillows and blankets on the bed. It was one of the softest things I've ever felt in my life. "There's a surprise in the dresser." Revali said, pointing to the dresser. I opened the dresser drawers, revealing piles of gorgeous outfits. Beside the dresser was a bunch of pairs of shoes. My eyes wandered to the window that gave me the most amazing view of Hyrule.

"Revali...this is so amazing. I've never been treated this way before..." I said, feeling tears welling up in my eyes as I stared out the window. "Thank you so much." I turned around to look at him. Revali was hanging in the doorway, looking anxious. "Aren't you gonna come in?"

"I may be a 'prick', but I am a gentleman." He said. I smiled, gesturing for him to come in. As I did, I saw a shadow cast outside. I looked up at the sky to see the Divine Beast.

"It's Vah Medoh!" I exclaimed, feeling the excitement rushing back, coursing through my veins. My face hurt from smiling so much.

"Would you like to go up and see Medoh?" Revali asked, staring down at my face.

"O-Of course I do!" I stuttered. I wasn't stuttered because I was nervous. I stuttered because I was so happy I could hardly articulate the words. I ran out of my new house, Revali behind me. He took the lead, taking me to a landing. I looked down to see that this landing also looked...different. Revali's Landing was made as a memorial, so it makes sense it wouldn't be here.

"On my back." Revali said, looking around, hoping other Rito's weren't looking. I happily climbed onto his back, and we took off. My hair flew all over the place as we flew towards Vah Medoh. I stared up at the Divine Beast. Tears were sliding down my cheeks. I don't know if it was because we were flying in the cold sky, or because I was just...so happy...I wasn't sure what to think. Of course this was real, it had to be. I buried my face in Revali's back feathers, breathing heavily. I turned so my cheek was still pressed up against him, so I could get a look at the sky.

Revali landed on Vah Medoh and I slid off his back. "It's cold." I said, rubbing my hand against my arms. I accidentally hit the Sheikah Slate, causing pain to shoot through my arm like a jolt of lightning. "...ow."

"Here." Revali said. I suddenly felt surrounded by heat. Revali wrapped one of his wings around me, warming me. "Stay like this and maybe you won't freeze to death."

"Mhmm." I said, blushing. "Thank you, Revali."

"It's not that big a deal, so don't make it one." He said. I could've teased Revali about being a tsundere again, but I was just so happy that I didn't even bother. Even though I knew Vah Medoh inside and out from the video game, I still wanted a tour of it. It was even more breathtaking in person. The puzzles, the way of running it, the way it just kinda floated through the air. I kept close to Revali, even though I wanted to run around like an excited child and see every nook and cranny. We soon came to the area where I would usually fight Windblight Ganon and gain Revali's Gale. The shining sun and clearness of the air...this place was so magical and wonderful.

"Wow..." I whispered. Revali led me to the edge of Vah Medoh and we both took a seat, staring at Hyrule below us. "Revali..."

"Yes?" He asked. I laid my head on his shoulder tiredly. His eyes widened. "W-What is it you want? Please tell me!"

I giggled. "Revali, you're so lucky." I said.

"What...?" He muttered.

"Everything is so amazing here. I know I've probably said it a million times already, but compared to what I grew up with...this is like living in a paradise." I said.

"A paradise..." He echoed. "Even with the bokoblins? The Yiga Clan? ...Calamity Ganon?"

"An adventurous life is better than a boring life." I said. "Could you imagine just standing there, having your freedom stripped of you, having your destiny chosen for you?"

He looked me in the eyes. "...No. I can't imagine that." He whispered. "So this is like heaven to you?"

"Yeah." I yawned. I closed my eyes and I felt Revali stiffen as I dozed off.
